Buffalo's worst mass shooting takes 10 lives, leaves 3 wounded; attack called 'a racially motivated hate crime'

Ten people were gunned down at a Buffalo supermarket Saturday in a horrifying mass shooting that officials were quick to label as "pure evil

This is my town. A friend of mine worked at this Tops stocking shelves for years. He used to live in this neighborhood, he only recently moved. Another one of my best friends lives just two blocks from Jefferson.

Is there anything to say? I don’t know what else to say. Buffalo is the City of Good Neighbors. No matter where you are, you can find a jump for your car, someone to help you carry your groceries, an extra set of hands to shovel your driveway. We’re not perfect, but we are kind. This is such a violation.

I’ll be keeping an eye out for links and reputable sources to help the families of the victims, and to help support the Buffalo black community. I’ll post them here.

The white 18-year old suspect in the race related murder of people is a “teenager” and a “child”. A 17 year old person of color who is murdered for just walking down the street and wearing a hood is a “thug”. An 18 year old person of color, walking towards police with his hands up is gunned down and called a “man”. Tell me it’s not race related. The media is complicit.

May they rest in peace? No. May they rest in anger. May they haunt every fucking politician that hasn't done dick about gun control or worked to actively make it worse. May they scream so loud the entire ocean swallows the usa specifically. They didn’t have to die. This was all avoidable. This isn't the first time babies have been shot in their school and it won't be the last. Nothing ever changes. Nothing will change until america's toxic relationship with guns is inoculated with reality. Don't waste your breath with overused words. Demand change. So many countries in this world have common sense gun control. It has been done. It isn't hard.

If police started dropping White boys in the street..... on site ... the same White folks that are silent or justify police murder of unarmed Black children..would be outraged and defending the lives of mass murderers.



We have to understand POLICE TERRORISM continues because there is a large population of people that are totally ok with it.... because they know they have privilege and it won’t happen to them. There are White people who know that Apartheid conditions exist in America & justify it. And there are a lot of status quo who stay silent because they know the inner city/marginalized communities are the ones who suffer the bulk of mistreatment at the hands of this police state.
