Gax headcanon: Only reason why Max isn't retiring is because he wants to see George win his maiden title in F1 with him still on the grid. Best would be if that title fight was between the two of them so George finally would feel like he is on the same level with Max. Because Max already sees him on the same level, even without the title.

I really, really want George to win this year. I genuinely believe it would smooth out the rocky relationship between them. As much as I love their toxic dynamic, I also need them to actually hang out together.

Another Russtappen headcanon: Max doesn't wanr to be Georgea teammate because he thinks he curses his teammates (look at every teammate he has had) but also he loves racing George while they are in different teams because he knows whatever the team he will be in he will be more favored which means George won't get car as good. Still George wants to race with Max in the same team, so he starts his campaign in interviews that he wants to race with Max in endurance racing in Max's team "Verstappen Racing". Something posessive wakes up in Maxs chest after hearing those words come out of his boyfriends mouth. Now Max has to make sure everything is top class in his team, not if but when George will join him.

Omg, this is such a rich topic idek where to start. First of all, you reminded me of one of my favorite canon Russtappen moments: when George called Red Bull Racing Team Max, They corrected him, so this time he called it Team Verstappen and after that he completely lost his train of thought. Such an iconic moment.

Another fact we know is that George wants to compete against Max in equal machinery. But honestly, I just can’t picture them together at Mercedes or Red Bull. This also reminds me of that fic where they buy half of Red Bull’s shares together and become teammates (not naming it because of spoilers, but iykyk)

Also Max’s teammate curse is pretty real and pretty canon imo. So im kinda glad that they’re not teammates but still i cant stop imagining THE POSSIBILITIES if they were

My favourite russtappen headcanon or trope is just. Idk how else to explain it other than saying Max is the Chandler to George's Monica. Like I am gen z i haven't watched friends other than seeing clips and video essays about the characters but like. It fits them. George being very strict on rules and routines and max being the complete opposite but learning how to help him even if he complains, indulging him. Max and George being opposites but slowly learning how to fit together and being a team even if they bicker a lot. It's cute as hell

And it really fits perfectly! Monica and Chandler are my fave Friends couple also (Chandler is my spirit animal) and i totally see your vision anon!

Monica/George being the mom of the group, obsessed with rules, incredibly tidy and organized, and never getting the praise they deserve from their parents (or, in George’s case, Torger) fits perfectly.

Chandler and Max have the same energy: sarcastic nerds pretending they’re effortlessly cool, secretly soft on the inside, emotionally damaged thanks to parental trauma, and somehow twice as awkward whenever they try to flirt.

one of my fav hcs is that when george meets max's cats, jimmy takes a liking to him. and if george comes along with a dog, he does morning runs at like 5 in the morning and jimmy takes interest in it. so george goes running with his dog and jimmy and max has near daily freak outs about george taking jimmy because they're not outside cats. jimmy has a vest and collar and it's adorable

also, since george is already awake, he takes care of feeding the animals so max gets a couple more minutes to sleep, which he doesn't even realize until suddenly he has angry cats screaming the house down for breakfast again

one of my absolute favorite tropes! Tbh, I’m more partial to Sassy being obsessed with George (maybe because they’re namesakes?), but I’m definitely fine with both options. I can totally picture George feeding Jimmy and Sassy, always sneaking them extra treats behind Max’s back (“They’ll get fat!” Max says), buying them an obnoxious amount of cat toys, and just generally spoiling them rotten. Also, the idea of them wearing little vests with collars is just too cute 🥹🥹🥹

Rustappen headcanon is that Max is very annoyed with Toto in the summer 2025. He just wants to chill with his boyfriend on his yacht and enjoy the good weather. But his boyfriends boss seem to follow them. So he gets sound system out on the deck, facing Toto's yacht and plays Obsessed by Mariah Carey at full volume, hoping it will get the message across but no. So Max secretly changes his ringtone on Georges phone for him to the same song. Now Max calls George each time when Toto is around his boyfriend. Max expected George to change it but his bf had left it like that.

oh finally someone sent something yayy! Omg i love this ♥️ i can totally picture: whenever Max tries to steal a quick glimpse of his boyfriend or have a little chat with him, Toto somehow ends up there, completely oblivious to their relationship, boring Max by talking about the race, contracts, and whatever else. Meanwhile, all Max wants is for him to get lost so he can kiss his boyfriend.
