Those are her parents. That’s literally a little family to me. When Ben says he’s “a friend of the family.” that’s how I choose to take it
Anyway, I just think that Spike and Dawn are sitting on the couch watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas and drinking eggnog and I think somebody got Spike a Santa hat as joke because they thought it would ruin his aesthetic but jokes on them he kinda likes it and red is his color and I think Buffy, Dawn, and Spike have a very aggressive competition every year where they try and get each other the ugliest sweaters they can possibly find and theres penalties if you don’t wear your sweater like maybe whoever doesn’t has to do all the laundry or take out the trash or something for the whole month of January. I think that one year Spike and Dawn got Buffy this just for funnies
I think that Buffy and Spike get into snowball fights in the graveyard on patrol and try to ambush each other.
Looking at the Media and going Insane etc etc but a very underrated moment is Spike pacing back and forth in this scene in Blood Ties, hands on his hips in the Parent Pose, worried and probably feeling really guilty about Dawn running off even if he did think she deserved to know the truth
Thinkin’ about how if they’d spent the night at the gas station in Spiral, Buffy and Spike probably would’ve made a little spot somewhere and slept on either side of Dawn
Hello hi currently losing my mind over the After Life script. It’s already an iconic episode but like there’s so many little things in the script that just enhance that???
Like a cut scene of Spike panicking because he can’t find Dawn.
DAWN SAYING THEY SHOULD PRANK CALL GILES
Dawn trying so hard but she’s just a baby, just a freaked out scared kid.
Cannot BELIEVE we were robbed of actually seeing him break down crying

I also love love LOVE how it’s so prominent in the script that Dawn knows something is wrong and is sorta stepping up to shield Buffy. OH MY GOSH HER PROTECTIVELY STEPPING BETWEEN BUFFY AND WILLOW

No no no no you don’t understand okay. THEY WERE GONNA TAKE CARE OF HER THEY WERE GONNA FIX HER HANDS. “Fix” the wounds she got because her friends carelessly resurrected her. 
BUT THEN THE SCOOBIES BURST IN AND STARTED IN ON BUFFY AND THEY DIDN’T GET TO
AND SHE HAD TO DO IT HERSELF and the scoobies didn’t think to help/do it for her
LOOK AT THIS LOOK AT THIS LOOK AT DAWN SITTING IN THE BACK OF THE BUS ALONE WITH HER HAND TO THE GLASS WHILE HER HOME COLLAPSES AND GUESS WHOS BACK THERE STILL GUESS WHO THE ONLY TWO PEOPLE NOT ON THE BUS ARE??? SHAKING CRYING THROWING UP!
