My first ever shiny Pokémon was a Venonat I caught in the bug contest in my gen II silver game.

He won 2nd place to a Butterfree.

Oh well, shimmer will be first in my heart. >8O

Everytime I try the bug catching contest in Pokemon Crystal I lose to the literally cooler version of myself, COOLTRAINER NICK, who always catches the same Pokemon as I do but with a few points more than mine.
