big bad wood ground-beetle found at my sister's backyard! biggest beetle i've seen irl, and so cute!

today's bug encounters!!!

Was outside today and I looked at my arm cause I felt something and saw a tiny little black Beetle shaped like a ladybug but rounder and so much smaller. It was biting me, so I blew it of my arm(so that I didn’t squash it, mostly out of kindness but also because some beetles have blood that can cause blisters)

After that my arm hurt, not a lot, like less then stubbing you toe, but It was burning, I was going inside to wash it of but I couldn’t help but think how fascinating that this beetle (That I have never seen or knew what it was) was burning me. I had a whole Steve Irwin, Btg, coyote Peterson, Robert Irwin experience, thinking wow this hurts but how impressive the vast panoply of nature is, even when It is attacking me.
