notes on club penguin's climate and latitudinal position: if you consider the stand-alone CPMagazine comic "Eye Spy" to be canon, it is not only far enough south to consistently not melt despite being primarily made of ice, but is far enough north to be able to support at least one known species of insect: unidentifed, likely not one that exists in real life due to the artist, out of all odds, not being an entomologist. perhaps an undescibed fictional species would be an apt description.
