so after my cousin, sister and i just saved a full-grown and baby lizard from a sticky bug trap i figured id just kindly warn others to beware the locations of your bug traps!!! that, or get a less sticky one!!

in the case that a lizard or other little creature gets stuck in your bug trap, heres a way to get them out!

-put on gloves!!! dont get your fingers all sticky!!! -get some pliers, a small stick of some kind, vegetable oil, a bowl, a bucket, and q tips -put some vegetable oil in a bowl -take the stick and dig underneath the creature’s head/front legs. try and ease them off the edge of the trap. then dig under the torso, and repeat. do this until the creature is free. -then, put the creature in a bucket of some kind (be careful not to scare it too much!!!) -take the q tip and dip it in vegetable oil (just very lightly, you might need to pat it dry) -stick the oiled q tip into the largest clumps of the sticky stuff -twirl the q tip around light a fork in spaghetti. get the adhesive to wrap around the q tip -the stuff should start peeling off, do this very slowly so as to not hurt the animal!! -once you have most of the big clumps off, put just enough vegetable oil to coat the bottom of the bucket. let the creature wiggle around to take off the last bits of the adhesive. -IF ITS A LIZARD OR OTHER COLD BLOODED REPTILE, PUT THE BUCKET IN SUNLIGHT OR LIGHT OF SOME SORT. COLD BLOODED ANIMALS NEED SUNLIGHT TO REGULATE THEIR INTERNAL BODY HEAT -once they seem mobile, let them go and youre done!! congrats you just saved an animal from certain death
