Laying down is for chumps
I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again: just when I think I've got this girl figured out, she goes and changes everything up on me again.
The baby who used to wail any time I put her in her stroller now loves the rides. I'm glad I kept trying. I still babywear most of the time but oh, it's so nice to be able to put her in the stroller for our longer outings.
She is really starting to loathe laying down. I'll catch her doing a weird 'crunch' trying to sit up when she's in her bouncy chair, or during a diaper change, or in her bathtub. She just wants to sit up all day long! She's got wicked awesome abs. Covered in layers of baby fat, of course.
Her hair is coming in, mohawk style. I love it. You can't really tell from photos, but it sticks straight up and is pure fuzz.
Evelyn used to nurse to sleep every night. But for the past several nights, she just wants to nurse for a few minutes and then wants to be rocked. I rock her for a few moments and then she's out like a light. I stare at her ever-growing eyelashes and wonder where my squishy newborn went. She's been replaced by an infinitely curious, snuggle-loving baby.
