I've realized that I never explained the reason for this hiatus and why it has gone on for so long so here's a mini catch up with me and my personal life lol.
In June I'll have to take my university entrance exams which will determine if I'm good enough to get into the school I want. As of writing this, I have about two months -ish left to study my ass off and get the highest score possible.
I have stopped writing for this exact reason so I can focus on my studies and on the upcoming exams. What I'm trying to say is that I'll be back in June once my exams are over and all the stress is finally gone. Bear with me a little while longer ^^.

The Good News
The vet costs weren’t quite as bad as anticipated, still $1400+ but it didn’t reach $2000 or over. Still would like to replenish my savings account as much as possible since it all came out of pocket, so highly appreciate everyone who’s paid me for services or donated to help out with Evie’s expenses! Thank you SO much.
Evie’s home and she’s mostly back to her old self, she’s eating without vomiting, she’s drinking water, she’s on a lot of crate rest and we have to carry her down the patio stairs, but she definitely feels better. She’s glad to be in HER crate with blankets that smell like home. She’d much rather be eating her Zignature over the prescribed food, but what can ya do?
However
We’re not out of the woods yet and we have to keep an eye for pancreatitis or any other complications from her surgery. She’s had one confirmed bowel movement and it wasn’t solid but hopefully that will start to improve once her system is a little more regular, she hasn’t been eating for the past few days after all. She can’t play or interact with Astaroth or Hesper at all and her mobility is going to be extremely limited. Positive thoughts are still appreciated as she hopefully continues to recover and improve! The vet thinks she’ll be okay but we have to be diligent in monitoring her, and she’s on a lot of medication so we have to make sure she gets it as well, and special food until her stomach heals up a bit more.

One Year Post and a little Reflection
On April 1, 2018, I created a tumblr and posted my first chapter of my first public writing. A year ago today is when I first started this blog. So happy anniversary to starryeyedgukk!!
I’ve come a long way from my first chapter of behind those chocolate eyes, and although I definitely don’t regard that as my best work, nor do I think my more recent writings are especially fantastic either, I’m glad that they were enough for some of you. I’m glad that my writing was able to reach others and hopefully they enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.
This post wasn’t particularly profound, and I wish I had something planned to celebrate my blog’s first birthday, but I suppose this cheesy yet sentimental post will do to show my feelings.
Lastly, thank you to everyone who reads and supports my works or who has ever had a nice conversation with me or who for some reason stuck around because they liked my personality. You are greatly appreciated and these little sprinkles of support I get from you all gives me so much happiness.
