Oh dear it’s a thing !!

I decided to doodle a dragon (and I’ll redraw them soon)

In my culture, dragons are unifications of beings, small or big ,, they were always represented as protectors

And here in this story they’re unifications of bugs .. (and angels) because ,, bugs are good , and angels are those other guys that exist I guess (I haven’t introduced them yet ..!!)

Draco Mantis are a highly dimorphic dragon of the Botanical Dragon family. Ranging from medium in length at 18 inches long to quite small at 3inches. Found primarily in tropical regions within dense lush forest, they are quite elusive and as such very little is known about this species. 

Ambush predators the Draco Mantis will sit perfectly still, it’s upper body ridged and ready to spring forth it’s arms to grab hold. While not aerialists of the dragon world the Draco Mantis can fly short distances and is largely done to get from tree to tree or to avoid predation.

A dragon based off the “Emerald Cicada.” I worked half the summer on this and it was not easy. This dragon is the first of many more which will feature more texture than I usually paint. Fully Digital. I custom made all of the background elements as well except the font of course. The cicada’s scientific name is “Zammara Smaragdina.” I added the “dracos” part to signify the dragon half of the creature.

Volcarona takes on this mysterious form change when the bond between it and Marcaugai reaches the limit!

Type: Bug/Dragon

Ability: “Mountain Ash” An intensified version of “Flame Body” this ability increases the chance to burn, even burning Fire types! Receiving a burn upon contact deals double damage. Along with the unusual effects this ability damage-dealing Water-type moves have no effect.

Effect: *On the first turn “solar winds” radiate from the users’ body inflicting burn while a bright gassy ball of plasma, rock and metals enlarges and envelops the user. The ultraviolet aura around the user is cocoon-like seeming to form green leafy pedals shielding the user from receiving damage. On the second turn the elements fuse and metals become heavier, then the cocoon bursts creating a massive shockwave.
