UwU Raditz would be such a great uncle/father if he was given the chance to be one and got his redemption arc etc

Look, I don’t get why people are so into making Raditz someone he’s not. I get that it seems “cute” and all, but honestly? I don’t think Raditz would ever be so great with kids that he’d want to be a father. He knows he’s not paternal. He’d shake the baby and toss the 3DS if he had to play the rock the baby to sleep mini game in Tomodachi Life. Or stick it in a space pod. 

R&R is cute and I enjoy watching it, but MasakoX’s views on Raditz in his What if scenario fanfic youtube thing just isn’t how I personally see him being like. 

He MIGHT have a child by accident if I ever wanted to write about that, but at this point I really wouldn’t want to for RP. He would not respond too positively to it nor feel confident going into parenthood. It’d take a very supportive and maternal woman to help him out and she’d need to understand and respect why Raditz is so hesitant and uncomfortable about raising a child. AKA not be a thirsty DEREK about it. 

Also I think the whole HAVING BABIES thing for ships in rps is boring and bleh. I don’t have fun with it. (But having Nappa and Raditz interact with children muses is A-OK GRADE AAA MATERIAL! I’m all for that!)

For the uncle bit, idk. I’ve never interacted that much with a Gohan or Goten rper. So on my own speculation idk if Raditz would ever be a some great beloved uncle in either of their eyes. More like that estranged and awkward to interact with uncle who doesn’t try to establish more of a connection with them, but he’s better to to talk to when you’re older like a teenager or adult. 

That doesn’t mean I don’t want to have Raditz seriously interact with his nephews. I just don’t think they’d like him very much. And Raditz doesn’t feel like hanging around people who don’t like him and won’t go out of his way to talk to them unless he’s obligated to for one reason or another. Or they seek him out.

Frankly idk if Gohan would ever want to get that close to his uncle. For obvious reasons.

(This will probably end up posting after midnight but uh anyways this is for @bughammer‘s birthday, which was probably yesterday now but whatever! I couldn’t figure out a good background, or at least one that I could render in a decent way and not have it look weirdly off-proportionate, so it’s just white due to my indecisiveness on picking an actual gradient. Since I did all our muses minus the angels for last year’s birthday picture, this one is just the angels to make up for it! [maybe next year I can fit absolutely everyone into a picture, but it’ll be mayhem, geezums]

This is from the angels thread, because Cool Mint is just so pleased with herself for coming up with the idea of drawing a snowdrop. I don’t know if I conveyed Noble Scarlet’s surprise well enough, but I tried?? Also it’s been so long since I drew anything AMG related, I had to look up how exactly Noble Scarlet’s hair looked, and had to relearn how I draw the twins’ hairstyle [what kind of AMG fan am I, really??]

But yeah, here is this doodling! I used my sketchy pencil brush thing from Clip Studio because I really like it, but if you want me to redraw the lines to make them more obvious and less sketchy, I can do that too! [this is the high-rez version, by the way, thank you 300 dpi] Hope you’ve had a good birthday and that life continues to treat you well!)

Let’s start with @bughammer/Skuld:

I still don’t feel like I know your bomb-baby Skuld from my own understanding of the source material yet, as I’ve only seen the OVA episodes of Ah! My Goddess as of writing this. However, your really detailed ask about Yggdrasil’s politics and her views of them turned out to reveal far more than I expected it to. Not just about Skuld, but her family dynamics too. Plus many other posts you’ve made and the talks we’ve had paint a pretty good picture that actually gave me a more enjoyable experience with the OVA episodes that I wouldn’t have had if I went in as a blind viewer. (Which is why most of the time I don’t mind spoilers about shows I’m trying to get into.)

I don’t have super specific ideas for plots, but what I’ve been enjoying about our thread is really how interesting the banter is between the goddess and the alien who are both trying to hide these facts about what they are about one another from each other; both believing the other is a mere human while having a very unorthodox conversation. What I like most about having Nappa interact with children and young adult muses is that they can often bring out a side to Nappa that few other adult muses can: his child-like enthusiasm and interest in things from a different perspective WITHOUT being judged as an idiot for it. 

I’m still up for doing that Detective/Cop AU when we have the time to put some thought into it. I might want to make Nappa more of an informant than a straight up law enforcer or detective like Skuld. That might allow for some more variety in their interactions if one of them isn’t constrained by their duty to the law in order to get justice served. 

For their normal verses, I could maybe see some extraordinary things happening on Earth while the two are in each other’s company and both maybe working together in a goofy-but-a-little-serious way to solve the problem without appearing more than human to the locals and perhaps to one another until it’s just too silly to ignore the fact that they’re not humans. (I get a lot of comedy vibes from AMG with a smidgen of serious feels with the series and I’d love to work in more comedy action with my threads tbh!)

Then there’s your muse for @ayekanaru…and some of these are things we’ve talked about OOC before on Discord but I’d love to re-elaborate on them here too!

I love that we’re both enjoying the Cooking Critique thread for the same reasons! Like you mentioned, it allows them to have really fun banter, and allows Ayeka to have some cathartic snarky moments without worrying if she’ll be scolded for starting a fight that will destroy the Masaki house. While both have either had or still possess an elitist attitude, it’s been fun seeing them both talk to each other as equals. There’s respect but neither is afraid to say something a little offensive or sassy. 

The current verse canon I am using for Nappa is set before the events of the Saiyan Saga. Eventually I’d love to have a thread where he comes back to visit the Masaki Family in his What if Nappa Lived verse canon. It’d maybe be 2-3 years since he last saw them, so not only would Nappa have changed as a character, things at the Masaki household would be different with the birth and raising of Kenshi Masaki. (And until he’s corrected, I could see him assuming it’s Tenchi’s son and blatantly asking who the mother is since he does look so much like Tenchi but doesn’t resemble any of the women who were vying for his attention.) 

In this verse setting (or even the other one too come to think of it) I’d love to have a thread where the topic of polyamory comes up. There aren’t many muses I encounter who understand it the way Nappa and Ayeka would. It could make for a really unique conversation, and I know it’s one I’d like to have happen in my fanfiction too. (Whenever I get around to it.) So if we never get around to writing a thread for it, it will be something I definitely write at some point!

And if you ever wanted to do a thread where Ayeka has her daughter with Tenchi around I’d be down for that as well cuz YES THAT COULD BE SO CUTE!! 

I’d also be more than willing to do a friendly sparring match between our muses too because Nappa’s always DTF! (Down to fight!) Despite how beastly Nappa seems to be offensively, his intimidating strength also came from how high his defenses were. So seeing two strong defensive fighters go at it could force them both into rethinking their actions and tactics and I think it’d be really fun to write out. The only thing about writing fighting threads with me is that I’d like to discuss in detail OOC and plot out the fight so it’s not just a “they dodged then attacked” exchange with no direction or purpose for the fight and the outcome. Blame it on years of dealing with the nobody wants to lose mentality from group rps. I like fighting threads for plot, not ego of either muse or mun.

he and his friends are a long way from home. to think they’d go as far as the chiba prefecture just so they could participate in one of those streetball competitions was a bit too much, but what can you expect from a bunch of basketball junkies? plus if they won, it’d be worth their effort. 

but it wouldn’t be a day before the actual tournament would begin, so the best thing they could do was take time for themselves, and one particular young man thought it would be a good idea to actually hang out near a local shrine. it was peaceful, and it was exactly the kind of atmosphere he was looking for. taking a seat on the stair case, he had a perfect view of the city. though..

it wouldn’t be long enough for him to take notice of another individual. amber hues turned their gaze towards them, they certainly were dressed in a more.. traditional fashion? probably one of the shrine maidens of this place? though-- he’s got a feeling that wasn’t the case.
