Independent RP blog for the character Lind of Ah! My Goddess/Aa! Megami-sama! AU/OC/Crossover-friendly, semi-selective, multi-verse. Tracked tag: twinangelgoddess
(This will probably end up posting after midnight but uh anyways this is for @bughammer‘s birthday, which was probably yesterday now but whatever! I couldn’t figure out a good background, or at least one that I could render in a decent way and not have it look weirdly off-proportionate, so it’s just white due to my indecisiveness on picking an actual gradient. Since I did all our muses minus the angels for last year’s birthday picture, this one is just the angels to make up for it! [maybe next year I can fit absolutely everyone into a picture, but it’ll be mayhem, geezums]
This is from the angels thread, because Cool Mint is just so pleased with herself for coming up with the idea of drawing a snowdrop. I don’t know if I conveyed Noble Scarlet’s surprise well enough, but I tried?? Also it’s been so long since I drew anything AMG related, I had to look up how exactly Noble Scarlet’s hair looked, and had to relearn how I draw the twins’ hairstyle [what kind of AMG fan am I, really??]
But yeah, here is this doodling! I used my sketchy pencil brush thing from Clip Studio because I really like it, but if you want me to redraw the lines to make them more obvious and less sketchy, I can do that too! [this is the high-rez version, by the way, thank you 300 dpi] Hope you’ve had a good birthday and that life continues to treat you well!)
‘Dear Heavens! Do I really need to explain… dating for her?!’
The rose goddess was genuinely feeling progressively more frustrated by the fact that her Valkyrie friend seemed to be completely oblivious about the simplest of concepts, that only required common sense for the average goddess to understand. After all, there was no need for her to even analyze why being here on her own would result into several men trying to hit on her, and yet Lind had genuinely no idea of what Peorth was referring to.
Suffice to say, Lind wasn’t your average goddess.
“The main problem with me coming here with company is that the one one available most of the time is Urd, as Belldandy tends to hang around Keiichi, and Skuld either spends time with her projects or occasionally follows Belldandy. And with Urd as well as myself being… um… rather stylish, I fear that we often give the idea that we’re not just hanging around, but looking for company.”
“Sure, when there’s two of us, it’s less likely for prospective suitors to talk to us, but it happened on the very first time I was here,” said Peorth with a sigh, as she wasn’t all too eager to recall that incident. Especially as it ended up in a rather awkward when the two men that tried to court them… were caught by their girlfriends and the resulting scene was almost out of a soap opera.
“Oh, and by the way! If anyone starts getting a bit too pushy and wants to ask you out on a date, just tell him that you’re living with a man. After all, it is technically correct, since we’re guests at Keiichi’s house, but given the ambiguity of the statement, they might think that you’re in a relationship and leave you alone. Just a pro tip.”
Waiting for the waitress to serve them their tea and cookies, Peorth took the opportunity to hold up one of the offered treats and tried not to sound too ridiculous as she tried to teach her friend about earthly foods. “Here, this is a cookie. It’s basically baked dough, although there are too many variations for me to even start counting them. However, how about you start with this one and see if you like it? You can either bite it as it is, or dip it into your tea to soften it up a bit.”
Lind folded her arms over the edge of the table, giving her friend a long, measured look. “There’s no reason to look so incredulous,” she said, mildly enough, “I had only thought humans would be polite enough to not interrupt you, if it seemed like you were already engaged in conversation with someone you know.”
She would be the first to admit that she didn’t know much of humans at all, but she would have liked to think that they were at least somewhat polite. Although, Keiichi might not be representative of his kind, so perhaps that was a mistake in presuming that most humans could be similar to him. After all, not everyone could qualify to receive a wish from Heaven.
The blue-haired goddess shook her head slightly. That wasn’t overly important, regardless. They hadn’t come here to discuss the manners of humans, no matter if Peorth thought she was unintelligent for simply thinking of such matters in a different way. Many deities had likely thought the same of her, for her unfamiliarity with human doings; Peorth wouldn’t be the first or the last. And on this particular topic--
Her eyes widened ever-so-slightly at Peorth’s suggestion, it was so strange to her. She could have expected that kind of advice being given to anyone else that resided in Tarikihongan--save for Skuld--but in regards to herself? No, no, that was something impossible. Surely Peorth, who claimed to be so knowledgeable about such matters, would have understood that implicitly? Or perhaps it was meant to be kind, something well-intentioned, but...her friend was not so unkind, was she?
“You needn’t waste your breath on advice that won’t be needed, Peorth,” she murmured at last, to spare her friend, “I know I am not like you or Urd. No human would notice me, or if they did, it would be merely because I am occupying your time.” She was a plain-looking goddess, as far as she understood, and even the color of her hair could be pale next to some of the other deities’ colors. She went easily unnoticed, easily ignored, throughout so much of her life that she couldn’t see that changing, not even on Earth.
She turned her attention to the so-called ‘cookie’--she hadn’t any clue what ‘dough’ was supposed to be, but that would be much the same for most of the ingredients. After taking it from Peorth, she turned the cookie over in her hands, applying the smallest pressure she could think of to snap it in half. It looked to be much the same throughout, though admittedly it was quite a thin disk-shape to begin with. Cautiously, she chewed on the end of it, not quite sure what to think of the taste of it. “...Very...crumbly?” she offered after finishing it, for a moment thinking it would have been better to have some kind of familiarity with more human foods beforehand, but it wasn’t as if she could change that now.
"Happy birthday, Lind! I know that you probably don't pay too much attention on such frivolous subjects, but I hope your life will get even better from this point on," said Peorth, offering the Valkyrie a snowdrop. "It took me ages to find one in the wild, but... here it is!"
Lind looked up at the sound of Peorth’s voice; at first she was mildly confused, because she couldn’t recall ever having mentioned her birthday to Peorth. She herself barely remembered it in passing, usually because she had never had any reason to celebrate it. She understood the concept, because others celebrated their birthdays, sometimes in grand festivities and sometimes in small ways, but she herself had never been given to doing so, when for so long it had only been her and her angels alone, and why should they care overly much about the passing of the years?
But she imagined that Yggdrasil had the data stored somewhere, and that had to be how Peorth had found out what her birthday was in the first place, though why was something that escaped her, since the older goddess would have had to go looking for it in order to find it, which meant that had always been her goal. Perhaps it was simply that Peorth thought birthdays were more important, and perhaps, from the other’s perspective, they likely were, when one had more friends or family to be bothered by such things.
“Ah...thank you, it is kind of you to say so,” she allowed, because it was well-wishing given with the best of intentions, even if she herself wasn’t entirely inclined to believe that her life would be changing anytime soon. The changes that had already happened--calling forth Cool Mint properly, becoming friends with Peorth, Keiichi, and the Norns--those were probably the largest events in her life that had effected change. She didn’t see how anything else would change that.
The blue-haired goddess’s eyes focused on the flower. A snowdrop, like the ones that bloomed in Spear Mint and Cool Mint’s field in her inner world. In truth, she couldn’t recall mentioning snowdrops to Peorth--had the twins told Gorgeous Rose? Was that how she had known?--but that wasn’t the important part of the message:
It took me ages to find one in the wild, but...here it is!
That meant...that meant that the snowdrop wasn’t a creation of Peorth’s, something grown with her earth-based magic. It wasn’t something that would have taken merely a second to obtain. No, this was something that had grown on its own, something that Peorth had hunted down, investing time and effort into finding just a single snowdrop.
“You...looked for this? For me?” she asked slowly, haltingly; the snowdrop meant hope and consolation, and the ones in her inner world had represented the promise she and her angels had made, to see two wings someday. Peorth wouldn’t have known that last part, but--
But the older goddess had gone through the trouble of finding a snowdrop, a living snowdrop rather than something manufactured from magic. A snowdrop, which after all was only a flower. It may have seemed like such an inconsequential gift, but...no. Peorth was prideful; she wouldn’t have given a gift that was trivial. It wasn’t Peorth’s way to do something like that.
So Peorth must understand what snowdrops meant to her, or at least that they were important in some way. Her hands closed slowly over the proffered flower, the three white petals swaying as she did so. It held a different kind of warmth than the ones she procured from Spear Mint and Cool Mint’s field, yet it was still...kind, in a way. A gentle kindness.
Hope and consolation.
“I...” The Valkyrie raised her gaze from the flower carefully; she hadn’t thought that Peorth would put such thought into something given to her. “I am...surprised that you would go to such lengths,” she admitted, “but...”--it was too kind, too generous--“...I am...”--both puzzled that she should rank so highly in Peorth’s regard to warrant something like this, and...glad? Inexplicably, but undeniably, it was something like joy in her heart, like when she had achieved something great in battle. To be important enough to someone to warrant them spending such time and effort for a gift--that was something she had never experienced.
“...Thank you, Peorth,” was all she could think of to say, but that was a paltry way to express gratitude, even if that gratefulness was so very evident in her tone of voice. No, she understood what she had to do. If this was Peorth’s gratitude...then surely she herself must show the same. The older goddess was important to her, after all, an important friend.
Even if she couldn’t create anything, she had to try. She didn’t even know Peorth’s birthday, but she knew ways to find it out, though she had the feeling she’d owe a favor to Urd for the request. She’d have to try, because it was so very important--if snowdrops were her own flower, then roses were Peorth’s, and even if it took her hours upon hours to figure out a way to create a rose through her own magic alone, wouldn’t that be a better offering, when she could more easily search terrain? In the same understanding that something reached without magic would be important to her, she felt that something created with construction magic from someone who was terribly unskilled in such a thing--wouldn’t that be better, to show that she could make it herself?
Her fingers curled more tightly over the snowdrop’s stem. Peorth couldn’t understand, but--wasn’t it enough? Such an unexpected kindness, something that might seem so small to anyone else--just a single flower and an offering of well-wishes--yet it was something important, too.
“Thank you, Peorth,” she repeated, feeling like it wasn’t enough to say so, a faint smile crossing her face. “You didn’t have to do this, but...I appreciate that you did.” She glanced down at the flower in her hand; while she herself could not keep it alive... “I will give it to Cool Mint and Spear Mint,” she murmured, because in their inner world it would be forever preserved. Like the signs of a promise fulfilled, this snowdrop would let her remember this unexpected kindness.
If the other snowdrops were a reminder of consolation, then this one...this one could be hope.
"Happy Birthday, Lind~ I hope the day was a good one, and I wish for you good fortune and happiness for the remainder of this year and the ones to come~" With a smile, RuYi moved forth and hugged the Valkyrie.
Lind blinked rapidly, actually having almost forgotten that it was her birthday at all, when she was given to never needing to do anything for it. But of course, she had come to belatedly understand that birthdays were the kinds of things friends celebrated for one another. Admittedly, she hadn’t mentioned it to anyone, not having been paying attention to the particular passing of the days, but somehow she wasn’t entirely surprised that RuYi should have remembered it anyways.
“...It has been uneventful thus far, but--thank you nonetheless,” she inclined her head. Perhaps the well-wishing was too kind, but it was meant with good intentions, and it wasn’t as if she had any reason to refute it. Or, rather, she had no reason to at least disregard it, when it was something kind said without expectation of repayment.
She wasn’t quite sure what to do when RuYi hugged her--she had never been particularly good with physical displays of affection of any manner--but she managed to pat her friend’s shoulder a few times. RuYi had remembered her birthday, after all, when she herself had not really considered it, so some albeit unexpected affection on the other’s part wasn’t that terrible of a byproduct.

(Ahh, this is so kind of you to say, especially when I’ve been absolutely terrible about being on this blog lately [the Amazing Pair deserves better and I need to be better about dividing my time jeezums] but thank you so much for the kind thoughts! Consider it the same from me to you ^^ Peorth is a great character and I’m always glad to see appreciation for her!)
“Yes, I’ve been here myself at least on one occasion,” said Peorth as she opened the shop’s door, guiding Lind inside. The interior wasn’t as grand as some of the other shops in the mall, and the atmosphere seemed a lot calmer compared to the buzz and hustle outside, which became even more obvious the moment Peorth closed the door behind her. “Although I did hear about this place from Urd, but I’ve decided to check it for myself. It’s a nice little shop, and pretty quiet as well, which is a big bonus when you’re a first class goddess.”
“You see, sometimes people tend to stop by and try to talk to me, as part of the whole flirting ritual, and it’s hard to turn them down without either sounding too blunt or lying about myself,” said Peorth with a sigh, before finding a table for them, and then pulled the chairs for them to sit.
“Anyway, this shop seems a bit more quiet than the rest -although somewhat more expensive- and that means that we should get some peace as we try the various things it has to offer. And speaking of which, how about we start with a cup of tea and homemade cookies?”
Lind tilted her head slightly, following Peorth--at least the older goddess had been here previously, which meant she had personal experience--though she couldn’t really understand what being a first class goddess had to do with the quiet. The concepts weren’t related to one another, but she doubted she could accurately replicate Peorth’s thought process to come to the same idea.
Her eyebrows furrowed as she listened; the problem seemed like it could be easily solved if only Peorth had brought someone else with her, as most humans should be polite enough to not speak to someone they didn’t know if they were already having a conversation with another, yes? While Keiichi would probably be working during the day, perhaps Belldandy or Urd could have accompanied Peorth, if annoying humans were expected?
“Peorth,” the blue-haired goddess tried tentatively, “wouldn’t it be easier if you had brought someone else along with you? If you are concerned about humans interrupting your time, wouldn’t they at least be somewhat deterred if you are already in a conversation with someone else? They are not so impolite as to interrupt someone already speaking, are they?”
She blinked at Peorth’s admission that this place was ‘somewhat more expensive’, but this was also the place the older deity had selected, so she couldn’t try to convince her not to spend her money on something that didn’t require as much money, not if this was Peorth’s choice. “...Very well,” she said, nodding faintly, “but...what are ‘cookies’ meant to be?”
Well, this was rare. Lind taking time for herself? Almost unheard of. The silver haired goddess wasn’t about to let this opportunity to at least have a chat with the valkerie slip by. While Keiichi was busy, and Skuld and Urd were doing their own things that day, Belldandy was glad to play host to an old friend. Putting her broom up, she smiled and waved for Lind to follow her inside.
“That’s good. I’m glad there’s no trouble,” Belldandy sighed in relief. With all the trouble that had happened in the past, it was hard to imagine such peaceful times again. Returning to the subject at hand, however, Belldandy shook her head. “No, no, I’m not busy. Come on in, and I’ll make us some tea!”
A quick glance at the twin angel goddess to be sure she was following, and Belldandy headed further into the temple back towards the kitchen. She stopped midway before asking, “Unless you prefer something else of course? I’m sure I can fix up whatever you like.”
Lind bobbed her head in an idle nod; and perhaps this was a good idea after all, since her previous visits to the temple would have been connected to misfortune, either on the part of the Angel Eater’s escape or the demon’s coup. So it would be--better for her to not be associated with anything bad happening at the temple.
She followed Belldandy into the temple, noting that it appeared well-kept, though that was likely to be the other goddess’s work. Keiichi might help, if he happened to be around, but she wasn’t so sure that Urd or Skuld could be convinced to aid in any of the upkeep of the temple. Still, they all seemed to get along regardless of any fights on the eldest or youngest Norns’ parts; she had never had any siblings, so she couldn’t say she understood how they maintained the peace, but it was undeniable that they could remain on civil terms with one another.
The blue-haired goddess blinked rapidly at the question asked of her. She wasn’t especially familiar with many human foodstuffs and beverages at all, and she could safely say that the only reason she even knew what ‘tea’ was, happened to be because Belldandy had offered it to her on her original visit. Knowing human customs was not something that the Valkyries were necessarily required to know, and she had always been working towards becoming stronger.
“Ah-h--tea is fine,” she managed to say, a touch awkwardly, “there is no need for you to prepare anything else when I do not require it.” Besides, she didn’t want to take away anything from the one who might need it, namely Keiichi. “And--it does not matter what kind of tea it is, either.” She didn’t know all the kinds of teas, and she couldn’t recall which one would have been offered to her previously, so it was best to let Belldandy pick which one to make.
Any lasting injuries from combat? — She has a large number of scars, but for the most part she hasn’t been dealt anything lasting in regards to injuries. As a deity, she heals relatively quickly, so even if she’s injured seriously, it won’t leave much of a lasting impact on her.

Lind, did you and Peorth eat ice cream together without inviting me?! (she is so confused rn :D)
Lind blinked, her eyebrows furrowing. She wasn’t sure where Skuld had ever gotten such an idea, but she and Peorth had certainly not been eating any ice cream. For one thing, all of the ice cream in the temple likely belonged to Skuld or had been gifted to her, and thus the younger goddess would notice when it happened to go missing. And Skuld seemed particularly unwilling to part with any of her ice cream, so why would anyone else have eaten it without first asking her?
“...I believe you are mistaken, Skuld,” she said slowly, “Peorth and I have not consumed any of your ice cream. We haven’t had any ice cream at all, I’m not sure why you would think we had...?” She hesitated, tilting her head. “--If you are concerned because some of your ice cream has gone missing recently, I can assure you that the culprit is neither Peorth nor I.”
HEY, HEY !! think you can give this a like / reblog if you lwould rp with a semi-selective, private and independent Belldandy from Ah! My Goddess? This blog is relatively new and is looking for new rp partners. AUs and cross-fandom interactions are welcome! written by nook.
Belldandy was just sweeping the front of the Tariki Hongon Temple, quietly humming a happy tune. She took a quick glance over at Keichi, who was working on his motorcycle. Her attention was draggd away, however, when another’s presence entered the temple grounds. “Ah, Lind!” Belldandy greeted with her usually friendly smile. “What brings you here? Did you come just to visit?”
Lind hadn’t necessarily intended to visit Nekomi; but her most recent mission had been in a region nearby, and, as Cool Mint liked to remind her so constantly, she did still have a great deal of vacation days saved up, as there’d been many years where she hadn’t used any at all. And Nekomi was close by, so it was feasible to stop by the temple along the way.
She didn’t intend to impose on the residents of Tarikihongan if they had better things to do. She had only gone through the effort of making sure that her superiors wouldn’t feel the need to contact her for the rest of the day, but she’d have the option of returning to Heaven if Keiichi and the Norns were busy in any way. She didn’t know of any particular events happening that day, but she was also woefully uneducated about human holidays, so it was quite possible there was something they were doing.
All the same, the blue-haired goddess approached the temple, unsurprised to find that she’d met Belldandy first. Urd and Skuld were more likely to be engrossed in their own pastimes, either that or battling over rights to the television, if she had understood correctly.
“Hello, Belldandy,” she inclined her head in greeting. “You needn’t worry that there is any trouble in Heaven; I simply thought I might see how all of you were doing, as I had the opportunity to do so. But, if you are busy, I can return another time...?”
Clasping her mouth, Noble Scarlet looked to the twins, surprised. Unlike her goddess, who appeared to be caught between pity, confusion and glee at the sight of a Valkyrie with ice cream on her head, the angel thought it would cause a most embarrassing stir. After all, what goddess wouldn’t lash out at her angels for being rude and inconsiderate?!
…What? You don’t have a child goddess as the other half of your soul, do you?
Granted, that was in the beginning; Skuld wouldn’t think of harming her angel now – much, Scarlet would immediately add, because while there was peace in the land, sometimes her goddess’ temper would merely get the best of her. It was par and parcel for the goddess of the future, what with so many obstacles (both self-claimed and adversarial) against her development.
Still, the young pair both stared at Lind. I thought that was obvious when we opened it…, pipped the blonde, blinking at the ice cream cup and back to Skuld. She controls ice, doesn’t she? She should know the properties of ice. It stays frozen unless you blow it up or melt it into water.
You don’t need to tell me that, answered back the brunette, taking the cup in her hands.
“Yes,” she finally offered, tone somewhat strained. “Until it starts dripping with moisture, due to the heat surrounding the area. Unless the room is at a colder temperature, then it takes a while for it to melt. That’s why the spoon helps,” and she takes the spoon from Lind’s side, “because in the beginning, due to its solid property, you need to place this in the ice cream and scoop out a piece for you to eat.” She demonstrated this while explaining, the texture of the dessert shifting from solid to medium as the spoon bore a hole in it. “ Sometimes it’s harder than expected, and you have to struggle with it. But most of the time, it’s merely just a routine eating motion. While the heat does its work, it’ll start to be more malleable, making it easier to eat. Humans place it in an object called a refrigerator if they don’t want to eat it, though, so that it doesn’t lose its shape.”
“It’s like ice, in a way! That’s where part of its name comes from. You can’t do anything to ice, unless you melt it, right? In fact, humans here use ice to cool their drinks, so it tastes better and cold.”
The child goddess passed the spoon with ice cream on it and the cup back to Lind. “Now, you try it! It’s so easy, even a baby can do it!”
Lind stared into the depths of the ice cream cup, having not once considered actually yelling at her angels for their display; she had never been one for yelling, truly, and she saw no reason to yell at her angels. Spear Mint and Cool Mint were just as new to the idea of ice cream as she was, and they hadn’t meant any harm. They were only trying to make sense of the ice cream, or rather, the fact that it shared a name with Spear Mint.
She had thought that the ice cream wouldn’t necessarily share any properties with actual ice, besides the fact that it was apparently generated in cold areas, because it certainly didn’t look like ice. Ice was relatively clear and transparent, not some--paste?--of a colorful variety. Humans were so strange, she had been entirely willing to believe the notion that they would have named something after ice when it didn’t even remotely resemble ice.
The blue-haired goddess sighed heavily. “It seems like the humans merely called this ‘ice’ cream because it is cold. This has no other relation to ice; it is not of the same nature, so why should I believe it is anything like my element?” So saying, she focused on the cup, tiny crystals of ice prickling up from the condensation along the sides of the cup, but the ice cream inside remained unmoved.
She brushed the ice crystals off, onto the table where they’d peacefully melt away into water. Unfortunately, she didn’t have any excuse not to eat it, even if she was mildly suspicious of it now. She picked up the spoon, gingerly prying out a tiny piece of the mint ice cream. It sat benignly on the spoon, and after a long moment she decided it was unlikely to move, and slowly chewed on it. Certainly, it was cold, and that was definitely a minty flavor. She handed up the cup and spoon to Cool Mint, since she knew the blue-eyed angel would want to try.
Ignoring Cool Mint’s cry of It is minty! in the background, she focused on Skuld, who was probably most concerned about her opinion of the ice cream, if the younger goddess’s previous reactions to her not even knowing what the food item in question was any indication. “...It is not...terrible,” she allowed at last, “though I do not understand why humans would be so willing to consume something cold so readily...”
I swear… that by the time we’re going to finish this, my hair will be even whiter than Urd’s… This girl clearly has no concept of having fun. At. ALL.
In a sense, Lind was the toughest cookie she had even sank her teeth in; proverbially speaking of course, since Peorth didn’t quite intend to literally bite her Valkyrie friend. Even Keiichi paled in comparison to how hard it was for her to deal with Lind, given that at least he was aware of things that were by all means common knowledge, yet for some reason Lind had no idea about.
Of course that also meant that using such a blunt method as the one she used on Keiichi was out of question as well, leaving her with no other option but to resort to the only thing she hoped it would work on Lind: patience.
“Hm… I think that there’s a new shop down that corridor,” said Peorth pointing towards the direction of the coffee shop she had in mind. “It’s primarily a coffee shop, but I’ve heard from Urd that it has some interesting things we can try, too. Like cinnamon rolls, and even a few exotic delicacies.”
Part of her knew that explaining what those were would only add more to Lind’s confusion, so instead of listing all the possible sweets they could try, Peorth turned and started to walk towards the shop’s direction.
“I’m sure that it’ll prove to be an entertaining experience for you, so why don’t you follow me? This way please!”
Of course, as she headed towards the shop, Peorth made sure to waif for Lind to catch up, since the last thing she needed right now is to lose her in the sea of humans that literally inundated the whole place.
Lind followed the direction of Peorth’s finger, but truthfully she wouldn’t have been able to tell what counted as a ‘new’ shop versus one that had been there for quite some time. She supposed the older goddess must have some familiarity with this place, though she wasn’t sure how often Peorth had been to the Nekomi area. Certainly more than Lind herself had, but that didn’t necessarily mean that Peorth had been visiting this building every time.
The other things Peorth was mentioning naturally held no recognition for the Valkyrie, when she knew so little of human foodstuffs in general. But at least the other deity had figured out that explaining without the actual object to demonstrate wasn’t going to be of any help. She might not understand even with the object--food--in question, but it might end up a bit easier to have a visual reference of some kind.
The blue-haired goddess fell into step besides Peorth, taking a moment to glance around at the humans walking about. Sometimes some of them appeared to be in large groups, or families, while others were either by themselves or momentarily separated from their groups, and there were quite a few that were simply pairs, like she and Peorth. She imagined they were probably all here for the same goal, to purchase whatever items they were interested in.
She turned her attention back to Peorth. “You say that Urd mentioned this place to you? Have you ever been there yourself?” She didn’t mean it to be rude, she was simply asking if the other deity had firsthand experience with whatever this shop had to offer, or if it was all based on Urd’s endorsement.
“I must continue. I can never return to my planet, so I must continue.”
After centuries of sleeping in space, tragedy comes and tragedy changes into drama. To leave your home behind is to leave who you were before today, right. This, no one knows better than AYEKA – crown princess of Jurai and tragedienne upon whom the world may smile one day!
But she’s not merely Shakespearean-lite! She also bites at the chance for control of her own life, lover of peace and tranquility and normality and the occasional panic at circumstances out of hand. And you’ll see her happy regardless, on the planet where the seasons change and the leaves fall as they do on the home she once knew.
So if you want to wine and dine her, smash that like or reblog button, and maybe she’ll smile at you!
Just make sure to not mention her love life, huh? She can get s c a r y when she’s angry!
Well – at least the weapon’s gone. Much like Ryoko’s energy weapons, the other’s axe shrunk quite visibly back into an object, to be – tucked behind her ear? No, it’s an earring now! Oh, how convenient! It’s almost darling in a sense! That was certainly useful technology to have…
( Oh, stop thinking like one of those colonizers! That’s not nice! )
“Candid…? I, I wasn’t being candid as much as trusting. But yes, this does satisfy, erm, my curiosity. No human is able to do what you do. Rather, they shouldn’t be able to do what you do. So believe me, I was more than perplexed. Only people who have been blessed by Tsunami’s power, like my family, or people who’ve been –” uh, how to describe Ryoko without sounding awful “–created as experiments?–” that’s worse–
That the princess said all that without missing a beat and (presumably) without having to hold her breath spoke to her disbelief. The staring, the incredulity rising in the back of her mind, the sense that someone is playing a prank on her and seemingly a certain light teal-haired space demon’s involvement in it, and well, wait a minute, she said she was a goddess though, didn’t she?
Wasn’t Tsunami considered a goddess on Jurai in the sense of Creator? She had blessed the Juraian Royal Family with the royal trees, and bestowed power onto the imperial family. But no self-respecting Juraian prays to her, or asks her benevolence as a lay believer, whereas by the Airians, she’s worshiped as a mother goddess: creator beyond nature, a goddess worthy of a cult, receiving prayers for nothing.
So then, this –Lind, was a goddess, which naturally means her previous actions up until now were sound and fair. But the question begs then: what kind of goddess doesn’t have a good sense of direction?
And where was this ’Heaven’ located galaxy-wise?
“I, I, I mean! Yes, a goddess! That means you must be some sort of sister to Tokimi or Tsunami? Aunt? Cousin? Niece twice removed? I’m not sure what the rest of your titles are now. They sound like licenses for cars, no?”
Lind tilted her head slowly. She supposed there was an element of trust in stating who you were, but she had seen it more as a willingness to tell the truth, which was considered candor, wasn’t it? After all, Ayeka could have said anything, not necessarily the truth, and Lind wouldn’t have known any better, as deducing lies was not something she spent much time doing.
But then, she was straightforward in personality to begin with, so the idea of trying to deceive anyone outright simply wasn’t something that she ever considered doing, regardless of whether or not she was truly capable of it. She could conceivably leave out information, as she understood that most humans wouldn’t understand, nor would it be wise to be telling everyone she met that deities existed.
The blue-haired goddess wasn’t sure she understood exactly what Ayeka was going on about--what was this ‘power of tsunami’? Wasn’t a tsunami a large wave? Did she mean she was gifted in the water element? Skuld would probably benefit more from a conversation with Ayeka, then, perhaps? And she wasn’t sure she quite knew where the concept of someone created as an experiment had any bearing on the power of a goddess.
She didn’t know why the human felt the need to repeat her license back to her, maybe to be certain that her memory was correct? That was something she could understand, so she gave an idle nod of assent. Ayeka had spoken it rather quickly though, and Lind didn’t really know why. Couldn’t she have just repeated it slowly, if she was that interested in saying it?
Although, she couldn’t say that she really understood what Ayeka was saying after, either. “...I do not recognize those names,” she said--oh, so maybe the tsunami part from before was supposed to be a being?--“and I can assure you that I have no relation to the individuals you speak of. It is possible they are a different order of being from myself, though we may share the same classification as a deity.”
That sounded reasonable enough, didn’t it? “And I did not expect you to understand my license. It has no relation to...to automobiles, though, if that is what you mean? I do not believe it can be easily applied to human notions, as humans lack a natural energy reservoir and thus would not understand limits imposed upon that natural energy.”
“I’m not expecting anything, Lind. Part of the reason people socialize is to know each other better. Nothing more, nothing less,” said Peorth with a smile. “Sometimes this leads them to come closer, and the end result is generally thought to be pleasurable, yet other times… you just end up wasting your time. Unless it’s an official meeting or something of that effect, where everyone acts as if they’re having a great time, even though they’re just following a protocol. But we’re not doing that, and I’d be more than happy to see your genuine reactions to whatever you’re about to see, instead of acting as if you’re happy with what we’re doing.”
Just as she heard the last part, Peorth almost struggled to keep her laughter, since the idea that Lind knew little other than mint’s taste was too much for her to fathom. Surely even a war goddess should’ve known what sweet and savory meant, and yet she had little doubt that the Valkyrie was telling her the truth. Lind wasn’t the type of goddess to make jokes like that, and even then it made no sense to try that on something that obvious.
Unless she actually meant. it for real.
“Hm… mint, huh? Well, I suppose we can have something mint flavored if you wish. I’m certain that there’s a cafe here that serves mint flavored tea, and there are all kind of shops that sell candy of the same flavor. Most of them tend to be sweet -or filled with sugar if you like- which can compliment the mint’s taste.”
“So, would you like a cup of tea?”
Lind blinked slowly, her eyebrows scrunching together in puzzlement--that wasn’t what she had meant at all. It wasn’t as if she could pretend to do anything in the first place, when her license would prevent her, so she had no way of lying. Whatever reactions she had would be genuine regardless, so that wasn’t even largely important in the grand scheme of things.
And it wasn’t necessarily repayment, either, since they’d already more-or-less settled their debt. Fulfilling a wish was something she’d never been allowed to do, and even though she understood that she had two wings like everyone else--they were only a separate pair and not together--for so long she had been told that she was lesser than all other denizens of Heaven, in not so many words, and part of it had been that such a deity couldn’t grant a wish correctly.
And even if the blue-haired goddess hadn’t decided on a profession as a child, she hadn’t known what would interest her, a part of her had still been disappointed to be turned away by all of the categories save the combat division. She had never had the chance to grant anyone’s wish, and certainly, she couldn’t hope to perform excellently at wish-granting when it was something she had never done, but even if it was something like this--even if it was another deity’s ‘wish’ and not that of a human selected by Yggdrasil--was it so terrible to want to grant another’s wish?
But she couldn’t begin to think of how to explain that to Peorth, who with all her good intentions would be unlikely to understand. It was important, but not in the same way, and it wasn’t any use dwelling on it if nothing would come of it. “...If that is what you want,” was all she could think to say, because that was what mattered, wasn’t it?
So she left those thoughts behind, insignificant as they were. Admittedly, she already knew what mint tea tasted like--did Peorth forget that Belldandy liked serving tea?--and, well, tea and water were perhaps the only human beverages she’d ever had, so this wasn’t ‘new’, not really. But the older goddess still needed an answer, so--“Very well,” she said, looking around briefly, “where is it we obtain tea?”
REPOST. DON’T REBLOG. post TEN characters you’d like to roleplay as, have roleplayed as and might bring back, then tag ten people to do the same. ( If you can’t think of ten characters, just write down however many you can. Feel free to go over ten, too. )

TAGGING: Whoever wants to do the thing!
currently playing:
Lind [Ah! My Goddess / snowflake child]
Pyrrha Nikos [RWBY - AU / magnet child]
Illyasviel von Einzbern [Fate/Stay Night / wish child]
have played / might bring back:
I wrote a lot of OCs way back in the day, on a website generator known as Wetpaint, but I’m not sure I’d try to RP any of them again, despite still liking the characters and the development they had.
want to play:
This is probably really a shameless plug on my part, but I’ve considered it:
Eira [Ah! My Goddess - OC]
But honestly, the three roommates are enough as it is and I don’t know that I could handle another blog, so Eira’s going to have to stay in the fanfiction instead. Maybe someday as a sideblog to this one, perhaps, but definitely not anytime in the near future, though also because a lot of the information on her backstory happens to be large spoilers for the end of the fic’s thus-far-planned plot, sooo yeah, not happening for a long time for sure.
