Merry (late) Christmas to all - but especially to @stonerbughead to whom this fic is gifted! I really hope you like this, I think I ticked enough of your boxes! :D Writing this was a LOT of fun and very different to what I’d normally write, so I quite enjoyed creating it!!!

I was your Secret Santa! I wanted to do a full rockerbilly moment but I will have to save that for the new year when I have more time! But here's what I came up with! After you mentioned wiggle dresses I instantly knew Betty needed one (it's kinda my obsession atm)

I hope you are doing well and gearing up for the holiday season! You mentioned liking the comics in your prompts. We’re you drawn to the comics or Riverdale first? What got you hooked?!

I watched RD first S1 literally the day it aired the pilot! (Big stranger things fan was watching for Shannon lol) and wanted to read the comics out of curiousity after, there also was a layer of I'm a Bughead fan people are telling me I'm not allowed to ship this because X or Y reason in the comics let me do my own research! That concluded it was bullshit.

I think the first I bought and read fully was either The Hunger or the B and V Harley and Ivy crossover? Maybe the Adam Hugh's B&V one which is a banger story btw he is my favourite comic artist

and Harley and Ivy worked out well since I was already a DC fan 😂 anyway If Im being honest here the stories kinda suck I def don't read for the plot on most of the series (mainly non horror) so not drawn to that, but the art is just so good!

Love the digest work! mainly the vintage stuff, nowadays the detail and fashion isn't there but Dan Decarlo Harry Lucey Bob Montana era is the good shit! Shame the writing makes me wanna throw hands with every man at the company (aka the whole company bar 2) idk I like fashion and vintage pinup art, I always found that style super pretty and it's nice having it all in one company!

I did read Katy Keene stuff when I was 8 but I don't think that counts since I dropped them for some Batman very quick ( I was a big Katy Perry fan there was a whole conspiracy with it)

I think I'm still reading them just because I'm so attached to B V and Jug but there's some real gems that make the slog worth it! I think the hunger is my favourite comic ever, it's just so satisfying seeing my girl be written right! (This was my feelings before the Canon Bughead too may I add you can imagine the freak out when that happened)

But yeah I'm kinda stuck in a one sided relationship with a comic company and I'm too stubborn to drop it!

Come for the characters, stay reluctantly for the art and the hope of change? They are doing alright lots of fun stuff seems to be coming out, but for every good one there's another triangle story 🙄

Sorry for slight negativity I realised writing this that I don't really have a good reason to be reading this shit beyond my many ships getting crumbs and liking of blonde ladies lol

But I continue to give them money and I just bought 90 digests this past weekend so the jokes on me 😂

I totally understand feeling Bah Humbug about Riverdale, but still thinking Bughead is tinsel. They are!

So to start off, let me ask, what do you think is a Holiday Tradition that Bughead has together?

Something with food obviously, maybe they make a gingerbread version of each other? Oooor every year Jug does the cooking Betty does the baking?

Family photo with Caramel and Hotdog too maybe! Get the whole family together! (I'm not much for actual children but furbabies are always a win 😂)

Every year they go pick the most ugly small Charlie Brown tree and bring it home to decorate and give a makeover! They don't like leaving anyone out and know how it feels to have everyone pick someone else instead ..is that too on the nose?😂😂

Is this a real question? Because I don’t want to get excited and then have nothing done. That would really upset me. I’m not trying to sound rude I genuinely want to know if this would happen. I don’t have someone to gift. It kind of sounds too good to be true for me.

Happy December from your Bughead Secret Santa! What are some of your favourite holiday activities that you’re looking forward to this year?

Happy December to you too! I hope you enjoy this holiday season.

I personally love everything I do with my family - before Christmas: driving/walking around looking at Christmas lights, eating heaps of food (see: Chrissy ham), making shitty Christmas crafts with the younger kids, making themed cocktails and jelly shots, and since I’m from Australia getting a blow up pool from K-Mart to put in my yard so we can all get drunk and swim around.

Then on Christmas Day it’s all about the family hangouts which always happen at my house. I have a massive family and we all meet up in the arvo and party on until the sun comes back up. Music gets blared and plenty of drinking games are played. So, so much food. One year I even trolled the family by bringing out a birthday cake for Jesus (we’re technically Catholic and do the obligatory Christmas Eve mass but we’re not that Catholic, so everyone was confused and then hysterically laughing).

But yeah, overall for me the activities I look forward to are the fun family times :)
