(  america is different than london. sure, it’s ugly, too, but a different kind of ugly. the smog doesn’t reach the air the same. in london you couldn’t see the sky. here it is cloudy. here is not city. she can still smell ash and smoke. she can still smell the mutated mustard gas. there is no ash. there is no gas.  )

       ❝ Did Ripley say when she was gonna get back? It’s been hours of her talking to those white shirts----- I dunno what’s so hard for them to understand. ❞  Despite the complaining she’s being very patient. They’ve been in a private medical suite for a few days, making sure they’re all in good health until they’re discharged and can move to a temporary apartment while all this stuff gets sorted out. All things considered, Hicks got it the worst injury wise--- unless you count Bishop, but he’s a droid, and dismemberment isn’t an instant life-disqualifier for them.
