Imminent Omen Revealed!
I cannot waste any time. I have to tell you about this.
The weather outside is alarmingly paranormal, and I set out on a journey of approximately one click to the Jack in the Box for a meal. I ordered the "hot box" combo and received a special twin taco pin and a jack-o bobble toy.
Fully sated, I ambled back, the distance being again, one click.
The ambling was particularly satisfactory, considering the delightful river trail by which I ambled pleasantly, holding my bobble head in one hand, and extra yummy candy I purchased in another.
Well...
As I was nearing the bridge, midway down the river trail, I noticed a flying monstrosity veering toward my direction from out of the bush.
I am not jesting.
I thought it may be a big pollen puff on a stick with a leaf or something, and it was whirling like an insect, but somewhat chaotically.
Suddenly it crashed to the black asphalt of the walking trail before my feet and separated. It was a sleek blue bug, large and long, agile and quick, a fierce predator no doubt.
This blue flying bug was celebrating a victory! It threw the slain carcass before the sight of the Son of Man and exulted with triumphant emotion around the corpse!
I am not joking.
Well...
I paused and leaned in for a closer look.
The slain carcass was none other than large fat hunting spider. It looked like a hairy ball with multiple antenna sticking out of it. The body of the thing must have been the size of large queen olive.
"Ohhh!" I exclaimed, putting the scene together in a flash of story.
"You won't be eating me, you big, fat ugly spider! I'm gonna stop you and bring you out into the light where everyone can see!"
OMG!!!!
That was the coolest thing I've ever seen.
I of course praised the blue bug, acknowledging its glorious achievement, and then went on my way.
This is quite possibly my favorite story to have ever recorded personally. That was true heroism and a divine mystery like nothing I had ever seen before, demonstrated in truth by the willful act of Nature's creatures.
That bug is an inspiration to all of us.
That is also what it is all about, and it's also not only a human thing.
My beautiful son
I should go look for him when I get home
I put him somewhere
*putting knives away* ah. Brothers get free pass. Get yo vengeance. ╭(♡・ㅂ・)و ̑̑
Daddy long legs are one of few arachnids I am okay with. But it's on thin ice. Didn't know they didn't count as spiders though.
If you were a spider, I think you'd be the only one I wouldn't be afraid of. You'd be the cutest little thing. Like spiderfly from the YouTube animation or Lucas the spider (also animated.)
💙
You're so sharp, in mind and appearance, it's cut through all logical reasoning I have.
Awww, that’s sweet of you to say! If I were a spider, I’d catch all the other bugs in your room and make sure to give you plenty of space so you never had to be afraid of me!
But, yeah! Daddy longlegs don’t spin webs nor do they have the eight eyes that spiders do! So their faux spiders actually, and they fall under the same category as ticks and mites instead of spiders!
The more you know!
Darling, I’m going to have to ask you to buy me another drink, because I dropped mine when I saw you <3
