So, I got Ayato on my Asia server account (if anyone wants to friend me just ask :) ) and I got the Mistsplitter Reforged, but I don’t know what artifacts and talents I should level up! I’m completely stuck. Do you know anything that could help? If so I’d be happy to listen! Also have a great day/night :)!💖
Mhm ^^ What you’re looking for is Heart of Depths (more favoured and better than echoes). You can also run Blizzard if you’re running freeze comp. As for talents, priority goes Skill>Ult>NA. It’s not really necessary to level his NA, though. If you have a yunjin definitely build her as she’ll give him a pretty decent dmg boost! Aside from that mist is a great option so you’re all set. Feel free to add me if you have any more questions, UID is in bio
yooooo the texture on that path is incredible! do you have any advice for making paths? i've been trying to decorate some on my world for a while, but i can't find a good texture for them :p
Thank you so much anon! and i'm going to be completely honest I don't quite have any specific advice? this was my first real attempt at a path dfjdjhkg but I will try my best to give some decent advice! (under the cut because this. got a bit longer than i thought it would lol)
so that path started just because i wanted to hide my grindstone and a barrel for my lapis under that trapdoor closest to the enchantment table, so i sort of built my block palette for the path around those trapdoors kinda? i knew i needed more trapdoors scattered around so it wouldn't look so out of place, and i knew i didn't only want path blocks as the rest of it, so i kept some grass alongside the path blocks, i didn't want the trapdoors to be the only brown thing so i added the coarse dirt, i wanted some rocks so i added the cobble to tie it in, etc.
I would say to try and limit the blocks/colors you use, especially if it's a smaller path. like, I use 7 unique blocks (8 if you count the buttons) in that path, and honestly I think that's the upper limit to how big a block palette should be for a path lol. if it gets any bigger, it can be hard to find a good place for each block, and unless it's a really overgrown area that'll be way too chaotic
as for the texturing, that mostly came from what i've seen in hermitcraft videos and the hermit's other series, so it was more of an imitating thing than me coming up with it fully on my own lol. i really suggest going through a hermit's videos (especially one of the hermits who "specialize" in environmental stuff like bdubs, scar, and gem, and especially s7 when there were more "village" type bases) or your favorite builder's videos and taking note of what kind of paths they build in their own areas, which type of path you like best (since some of their paths are a bit simpler with only a few blocks, some are a bit more chaotic with lots of blocks, etc), and which type of path fits best with your build. i chose a more chaotic and busy path for my build since my character in that server is living in a flower forest and is a gardener, so she lives in a more overgrown and flowery area which is perfect for that path. but if she lived in, say, a city build or a mediterranean area, that kind of path would look completely out of place, so it's really just knowing what you're building and deciding on the right amount of chaos to support that build and help tell your story
from there there's really only one thing left to suggest: practicing. I highly suggest you make a superflat creative world where you can just mess around with builds and try to develop your building style vs only trying to build things in survival. also, looking up what other people have built and trying to replicate it yourself but with a twist is an immense help for getting an eye for detailing and texturing builds. a great place for detailed builds and help with making detailed builds is r/DetailCraft. reddit absolutely sucks, but that place is genuinely amazing with the amount of gorgeous detailed builds on there. i also suggest googling builds, though for that you kind of have to know what style you want to look at first. (also just found r/minecraftbuilds which seems to be like detailcraft but for bigger builds so might also be worth checking out to look at the surroundings for more path ideas.) like literally, the difference between my builds before i made myself a creative testing world is absolutely insane, and it takes some of the pressure of getting the build perfect the first time around away. i also highly suggest using the world edit mod if you want to practice with terrain, it's a bit difficult to learn to use (at least for me) but the things that can be done with it are absolutely stunning tbh
The other day I got the idea to make a historical apartment for the decades challenge (thanks @jewishsimming and @strangetown-hotel). During this time period so many people were moving to cities, and in my mind, the huge immigrant boom to New York during this period.
I really liked this idea and am totally planning on making one, but I wanted to know if people would be more interested in a redo of one of the game apartments (probably one in the spice district) or if they would want a fully built apartment building, based off a nyc tenement most likely.
Redoing an apartment means that I can stay constrained to starter funds, and it’s definitely easier for lower spec laptops to load. But the apartment buildings have those very modern hallways and elevators and such so if I build from scratch it can be a lot more realistic.
I really, really want my builds to always be functional for players, I’ve often been scared off builds from other people if it feels like they’re just there to be pretty and take pictures, I want to be able to play them.
So I wanted to put this out there for all of you! Reply, dm, send an anonymous ask, whatever you want, I’d love to hear what you prefer!
i’m trying to put together a build centered exclusively around boosting the power of blastblight as much as possible, what equipment should i farm for?
i’m rank 85 btw
edit for clarity: it doesn’t particularly have to be good against late game monsters, it just has to be fun
hi india! i think its very hard to build houses and i never get satisfied with anything i build.. where do you get your inspiration from? and do you have any advice? (:
Hiiiii! For me, I get the most inspiration from Pinterest. I have boards dedicated to home decor/room set ups and others for floor plans/structure, etc.
Now the way I build may not work for everyone but I always build the entire structure first, exterior paint, landscaping and everything. I do it this way cause if I don’t like the exterior, I won’t ever like it so I make sure I’m satisfied with that first.
Next, I design the floorplan by adding walls and sectioning off the rooms, adding doors and extra windows etc. (I keep the family I’m building for in mind and any possible expansions when I’m doing this.)
When I’m done with that, I start furnishing the inside (this is where Pinterest is extremely helpful) and I make sure I’m completely done with one room before I move on to the next (I do double back tho and add little things here and there cause I have a 26 gbs of cc and keep finding new things to add, lol.) Also, I usually end up readjusting the shape or size of some of the rooms once I start furnishing because I love small rooms and often times find that I made them too big initially or the shape is weird so don’t worry if things don’t look right the first go round.
And I think that’s it! So the biggest takeaway from this is that Pinterest is your very best friend in life! :)
your erchius fuel farm is very cool and pretty!!! i typically make my fuel farms for function and it ends up with high production but very. not so beautiful. Do you have any tips for designing builds?
Hiya,
Aww thank you! That's really sweet of you to say 😊️
I suppose the best advice I can offer is "imagine then in a real setting".
So the fuel factory, for instance, sits inside my main colony. Because of this, I wanted it to look like a place people might go to work or pickup their bootleg fuel. That's why I've added touches like the 'security' desk and made the backblocks predominantly purple.
Similarly, I put all the shops for various mods into one big 'mall', decorating it with benches and flowers as if it were a place where people go to shop.
But it doesn't always have to be a case of form over function; my healing water 'factory' is literally a hole in the ground that collects rain 😅️
I have this Hector that I don’t use and was just wondering who I could put DC on? I was considering Soleil, Marth, and Roy since they are all merge projects currently.
These are all pretty good choices, but I have seen some amazing Soleil’s with DC and would probably say her for your first choice. She is fairly easy to get, and you may want to take a +speed IV just to further boost her speed so she can avoid doubles and double more units herself. She can also work well with a slaying edge, safeguard/barrier blade, etc. How you would want to build her is ultimately up to you, but especially if you plan to give her merges, she is a solid choice for DC.
