Du Bois Centennial Tribute at Carnegie Hall in Manhattan, where he gave the keynote speech on February 23, 1968. Other photos capture civil rights marches, protests, school children playing, families at Coney Island, members of the Black Panther party (including Malcolm X), empty lots, anti-war rallies, kids jumping rope, card games, carrier pigeons and more.
