Newcrest Public Library

Builds have never been my strong point, but I'm really proud of what I've done so far. I promise NsB will be back soon, I'm having too much fun with this.

"Girl, it's just...I don't know, don't you think it's a bit much?"

"You're representing one of the three facets, you're supposed to be a bit much. Trust me."

"Fine. Fine. Fine!"

"I'll see you soon. Mom is in costume and we're going to grab Nana, then we'll meet you in Sulani."

Lucy's next art project was coming up. She had spent weeks paired with another girl in class working on the costumes she had her friend and family wearing. The outfits were the other girl's submission, while the scenes Lucy had set up to paint were her own.

All things considered, she thought it came together well.

Ive had this story on hold for a while, this was the last post I was yet to post when Rue finally gets a dog. Since then, I have had to remove this family from the save and put into a new save due to the updates as it became bugged. 

The Newcrest Family story is not over yet. Just delayed.

My first community lot, a library for Newcrest!

I'm currently base game only, but I tried to include a lot of skill items and I love how the kids nook and playground look! I also put a communal grilling area in the back as well as a rocket ship building area and some game tables just because I thought it would be something fun and more useful than just a place where bookcases are. I really wanted to give it the feel of a community hub.

I was trying to go for a sort of mid-century slightly dated public library look, something that was probably built actually mid-century and probably last renovated heavily in the 90s. I genuinely wish that I had more wall art to put up but I haven't had a chance to get on to the gallery yet and get some of those painting packs that some people have.

I know I definitely need to get some of those when I make my museum.

Welcome to The Newcrest Gallery. Located in the old manor of the Newcrest family, they sold the manor to the council when the founding family couldn’t afford the upkeep of the sprawling grounds. Now the local museum is located here displaying classic artworks and modern canvases.

Lucy's Birthday

For Lucy's birthday, Kip and Lottie took her to the flea market where her best friend joined them. Lucy picked out a new lamp for her new house that was being built on the other side of her grandmother's old house. While she loved her parents, she needed the breathing room.

Lottie fought back happy tears, struggling with her upcoming empty nest. Kip did his best to comfort her and keep the conversation upbeat.

"She's moving out," he soothed. "Not away. You can walk to her house."

"I know, it's just...it's not the same, Kip."
