My Pokémon hot take is that Black and White only allowing you to catch the region’s new Pokémon until the postgame let you catch the ones from other regions was fucking awesome and they should do that again at some point. Design wise I think it pushed them to revisit older concepts for creature designs in new ways with all of the parallels between many of the Gen 1 and Gen 5 Pokémon. Gameplay wise I appreciate that it forces players who may tend to stick to longtime favorites to try out new Pokémon they otherwise wouldn’t have

I don’t think it should be the case every generation, or even all that often…but every now and then to have a set of games that follow the Black and White philosophy would do wonders imo. In Gen ? you have to build a team of only new Pokémon and then in Gen ?? you’re excited that this time that long time fav of yours can be on the team for the main game again. Win win!

I wanted to make a design for one of my favourite pokemon. I'm going to make this into a keychain for myself! If there's any legit interest in this I might offer this on Etsy as a sticker/keychain possibly. I don't have Etsy set up yet but I'm working on it - I have to actually make shit to sell first lol. That's been....a hurdle to actually do.
