I know it might be less of a usual choice, as people tend to refer to MCYT in reference to more "character focused content" than tutorialists.

But man. Zaypixel deserves more love. Her builds are incredible, her actual tutorial and modeling gets better with each video, and just watching one is like having a nice cup of your favorite tea. I'm not ashamed to say that most of my builds on servers have started as Zaypixel ones; her designs are all incredibly solid in both concept AND palette, and they often function in a modular enough manner that you can easily adjust what fills a space to what you need. The fact that she doesn't speak makes her harder to just put on in the background, but it also means it's never grating - and with good music and the block placing sounds, it's almost asmr. I continue to be a Zaypixel shooter and think she deserves more love.

Watching Zaypixel was the chillest time I&'ve had in my& life! You are SO right on the builds, they are stunning and inspiring me& to try building something like this myself&! I& enjoyed the little diagrams she adds whenever applicable and the not speaking in her videos thing is actually a bonus for me&, as it helps me& enjoy the buildings themselves and makes me& more focused on the visuals of the video! Which are, may I& add, extra beautiful with the shaders and great simple camerawork that gives you a great look at the builds from all angles <3

FOR THIS TABLE YOU WILL NEED:

Materials: 2 – 2×6 Boards @ 8 feet long 6 – 2×4 Boards @ 8 feet long 2 1/2″ Wood Screws 2 1/4” Wood Screws (only need 4) Elmer’s Wood Glue Sander (120 grit sandpaper) Stain/Seal/Paint and supplies: (Examples: primer, wood conditioner, paint/stain, paint brush, etc.)

Cut List: 4 – 2×6 @ 48″ (Tabletop) 2 – 2×4 @ 23 1/2″ (Tabletop Supports) 4 – 2×4 @ 26″ (Legs) 2 – 2×4 @ 40 1/2″ (Seat Supports) 1 – 2×4 @ 37″ (Bottom Support) 4 – 2×4 @ 48″ (Seat Boards)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1: Tabletop I began by first cutting tabletop supports (50 degree angles on both ends). Using glue and 2 1/2″ screws while attaching through the top - Leaving a 1/2″ gap between the tabletop boards for allowing water to drain off the board when it rains.

Step 2: Legs Then I cut the legs at a 30 degree angle off square on both ends. Paying special attention to angle cuts to ensure I’m cutting in the right direction. Then I used 2 1/2″ screws to fasten the legs to the tabletop supports. Standing the tabletop up I thought would make fastening the legs to the supports easier, but in afterthought…using a clamp while laying flat would have been much better, BUT it didn’t cross my mind until later ;) NOTE: You could also use bolts (and washers) for a stronger table.

Step 3: Seat Supports Then I cut the ends of the seat supports at 45 degree angles. Then fastened the seat supports to the legs. Using a level on the seat supports to ensure I’m fastening the seat supports level to the tabletop using 2 1/2″ screws and glue. I’m fastening from the inside to hide screw holes. NOTE: I cut scrap 2x4s to 9” to hold up the seat support boards for easy drilling - or clamps could do the trick too.

Step 4: Bottom Support Measuring square of the table by measuring from the opposite tips of the legs. Mine where on point, but if the diagonals did not match, from the longer diagonal, I’d push the opposite ends together until the diagonals match. Fastening bottom support in place using 2 1/2″ screws.

Step 5: Seat Boards Then I fastened the seat boards to the seat supports - overhanging the ends by 4″. I used 1 1/4” wood screws on the ends where the seat supports taper off.

Step 6: Finishing Sand and finish as desired. I finished mine with an exterior stain and seal in one in a grayish blue tint.
