King’s Landing is coming together🏰
July 28th: Those kneecaps were absolutely tough to build and even after the fact, I had to make more. However, the fact that the body was nearly complete kept me going. At this point, I absolutely needed to see this project through to the end.

The first days of island building, featuring my *temporary* entrance, my characters home, & the beginnings of the Red Keep
Aug 3rd: The second had passed by with little activity, mostly due to a doctors appointment. However, it was time to string her and for whatever reason, I was hesitant. It took me an entire day to want to work with her again and well, here are the pictures. The only time she ever stood on her own. <3
July 31st: Her hands were put to the test here. They seemed a bit large, however, they quickly grew on me. This, I realize, is also where I nearly put my eye out, trying to remove a small bead from cured clay. The hand in the right side of the second picture had the bead embedded a little too deep and it had been a struggle to remove. A needle was the key, but also the silvery catapult that sent the bead hurdling towards my eye at mach 5 speed. My glasses shielded my eye, though, thankfully.
Bead removal took about an hour. Also, by this time, I’d found a nice music channel on Youtube to binge on. It’s groovy enough to share, so here’s the video that was playing at the time I was doing these specific tasks: GROOVY TUNES
There’s something powerful about watching a structure rise from nothing 🏗️
What most people don’t see is the foundation — the planning, the effort, the precision.
Because if the base isn’t right, everything built on top is at risk.
Real transformation doesn’t start at the top…
