It's Timber Tuesday!
Here's a few great shots of Markus demonstrating a "plunge cut" technique. The Western Red Cedar log flare required an anchor by creating a plunge cut with a chainsaw and the anchor sliding into the kerf.
An anchor adds stability to a log post by securing it firmly to the ground or a supporting base. When you insert a log post into the earth or another surface, it can shift, tilt, or even fall under pressure, such as from wind, weight, or environmental forces. Anchors prevent this movement by acting as a strong foundation.
