Super is So Hot Right Now
Coupla things before I talk about Super Hot: It's my wife's birthday today. It's barely 8:30 AM and we've already had cake. Also, it's the birthday of a guy I go running with once a year. Also, it's the birthday of the daughter of a girl I went to highschool with. I have no idea why I want to tell you any of this.
Anyway: Super Hot. I was bored as all heck a few days ago, and went over to Jerma's channel on Youtube. If you've never watched Jerma's video's, I suggest you set aside a few hours, take some ibuprofen, and get ready laugh yourself silly. Your sides will hurt but the ibuprofen should help and you'll be in a better place, spiritually.
After watching him do his thing through a half-hour of highlights, I decided to finally try the game for myself, as it had been on my Steam wish list for a while. In finally got some sleep a few days later.
If you don't know, the gist of this first-person shooter is that nothing moves unless you move. You'll see, for example, bullets frozen in mid-air, giving you time to decide what you want to do. So you're not moving at super-human speeds, you're simply making decisions at seemingly super-human speeds. Each level may take 10 or more minutes of real-time to get through, but the replay at the end shows you moving for all of maybe 10 seconds.
And all of this is wrapped up in a creepy low-rez old-school "hacker" story, replete with a kind of deep paranoid philosophy that I recommend you choose to experience only in the dark, for full effect.
When you're done with the main "story," (which won't take long) there's all kind of replay with "challenges" and an "endless" mode.
And then, go watch Jerma again. That dude is hilarious.

Happy New Year, everyone! This is the Classic Film Kid again, and with the Christmas decorations rightfully being taken down and the tree being boxed up again, it’s time to get back with some serious reviewing, and we will kick off 2017 with a review of the 1999 science-fiction action thriller starring Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne, The Matrix.
