Until the Forest Knows
It wasn't very often Rein found herself going on a recreational outing, hell, it was rare that she even went out with friends to begin with, but to celebrate new friendships and perhaps lighten her usual mood a plan was made amongst the four of them. And that plan would be a particular camping trip to one of her favorite sites - the Forest of Dean. It was such an expansive woodland that they'd have little trouble finding an isolated campsite all to themselves.
It was Friday, early in the morning, and the air was brisk and fresh. It was hard for her not to be nearly ecstatic when she hadn't gone on such a trip ever and the weather was only making things better. The two who were from out of country had come to stay a day prior, while Sir had agreed to meet at her home. With prior preparation filling the hatchback with all their necessities and Rein's over-preparing of supplies, they would all be situated in the vehicle and ready to start their journey without haste.
Luckily the drive was not long, she wasn't sure how long she'd be able to handle Takako and Mello's bickering or Sir's constant staring. It was a good thing she was able to drown out the noise and focus on the road, as well as hold her tolerance - or the drive may have turned unpleasant very quickly.
Finally they reached their destination; The Forest of Dean, the forest was comprised of deciduous and evergreen that easily towered most common woods. It was a beautiful sight, and even with Rein's many years of exploration it never failed to make her gaze in wonder.
After driving deeper into the forest and probably taking a few paths less traveled she finally found the perfect location. Situated next to a small creek laid a quaint opening within the forest floor, open enough that could still see the sky above but still secluded enough they could easily relax.
"Alright guys! Here we are- I hope this is a good enough camp spot. I don't think anyone's used it, but I can easily clear it up for us!" She grinned, a little pleased she had a chance to use her powers for something useful other than fighting. Having the others stand clear, she quickly waved her shadows across the clearing- pushing all natural debris to the side leaving their newly dubbed campsite's ground floor as clear as can be. After that, she focused her shadows on a few nearby fallen trees, neatly slicing through them to make comfortable logs and dragging them back near the center of the campsite to form a circle where they would later set up their campfire. "How's that?"
