A date with the Principal Part 1
The next day when they returned to school Jack made sure that he could see Anti at all times. Not because he was scared he’d hurt someone, he didn’t want anyone else to hurt Anti. However, as they walked through the halls every kid parted the hallway and hugged a wall once they saw Anti. This instantly got Anti’s anxiety to worsen, before they just ignored him. Now they are cowering away. What was he suppose to do? Just let that douchebag hurt Jack? If that’s what he was suppose to do, he was happy that he stabbed that mother fucker in the stomach.
They make there way to Anti’s locker, and he starts grabbing the books for his classes today.
Anti turns in surprise of the sudden question. They hadn’t talked since they got on school grounds.
Anti: “What do you mean?”
Jack: “Josh is a dick, everyone knows that. But, he wouldn’t just shove you when you where just walking. Call out names or something, yes. But never push you.”
Anti taker a deep breath, he wasn’t going to tell Jack, but looks like he’s gotten himself into a little corner.
Anti: “He took the picture that you took the day right before we started school... I had it in my locker.”
Jack: “Did you yell at him?”
Anti: “No! I just... um s-scared him.”
He closes his locker door and places the books in his bag then looks up at Jack. His eyes darken to a hollow black, with the smallest glimmer of white in the middle.
Jack playfully rolls his eyes, and looks back at him.
Jack: “That works, nice for showing him whose boss.”
He then softly hits Anti in the shoulder, and Anti giggles a small bit. His eyes then go back to normal. Jack was a really good person to him, even though it’s his evil self. When they where just like this, when it felt like they were the only two people who mattered. It’s when they truly know, no matter what happens. They’re there for one another.
Anti: “No, you are. You’re the last member from the planet Bossitron.”
Jack: “And don’t you forget it.”
They both laugh at that last part, people around start to get a little freaked out at Anti’s laugh. It sounded like static and like little children or something. It had a cold ring to it, and sounded like an echo. Jack never had a problem with it, it always nice to him to hear that Anti was enjoying himself.
Jack: “Let’s get to class. Don’t want these fuckers to pick on you again.”
Anti smiles, and they start heading to class. Just goofing with each other, and laughing. Anti really wasn’t paying attention to his surroundings, but Jack was. Whenever Anti was talking, he would quickly look around for anyone who was trying to make a scene. Luckily everyone was to chicken to do so.
Once they make it to class, they sit down next to each other and just keep talking. As other kids walk in, they whisper to each other about what happened yesterday. Some even start pointing fingers and saying names. Anti’s expression then turns from the happy one, down to his sad one. He looks down at his table and outline the pattern on his notebook. Jack sighs, it was nice while it lasted. So right before class starts, he looks at the kids who whispers and flips them off.
A lot of people really like Jack, so they respect Anti but still get freaked the fuck out around him. He’s sure they talk about anti behind his back, but he’s glad that they don’t do it in front of him.
Right when that happens something hits Anti on the top of the head. He looks up and sees a crumbled page of paper on the desk. He opens it up and it makes his heart sink.
“Why don’t you kill yourself? The one thing you can do right.”
He swallows, and pushes it off of the desk. First one of the day... sadly he gets them a lot. Jack doesn’t seem to notice as he looks up at the teacher.
Teacher: “Alright! Everyone turn to page-“
Suddenly the room is filled with static as the intercom above comes on.
Intercom: “Anti Mclouglin to the office. Anti Mclouglin to the office.”
Jack and Anti look at each other then at the teacher. She simply rubs the back of her neck, clearly evident that she doesn’t know what happened yesterday.
Teacher: “Well! Best not keep them waiting Anti! Go on down!”
As Anti goes to stand Jack quickly intervenes.
Jack: “Ms. Taylor, May I go with him? After certain events that happened, I don’t feel comfortable with him going alone.”
Teacher: “Of course. But hurry along now! Don’t want to miss my class after all.”
Jack then stands up, and leaves the room. Anti follows, but when he leaves there’s multiple snickers which makes him freeze up. Jack notices this and pulls anti out of the room while giving those kids a stern look.
When they reach the front office, Anti pulls his hoodie over his head as he messes with something in his pocket. They sit down in dark red leather chairs, which there are five of and await for Anti to get called back. After ten minutes of waiting, Jack starts to hear Anti mumble something very quietly to himself. Curiosity took control of Jack as he listened in on what he was saying.
Anti: “It wasn’t my fault... it wasn’t my fault... he made me... jack, jack, jack... I need him... he helps me. Josh.... josh josh.... no, he’s bad... he hurts me... doesn’t matter, he should die.... kill myself, kill my self.... solve problems...”
Hearing those things sent shivers down Jack’s spine. How could, How could he say those things. After that night in his room, he just wants to be there. To protect Anti from anything and everything. Having those thoughts aren’t helpful. Anti didn’t understand why Jack loved to make him feel better, but he didn’t care.
Front desk person: “Anti McLoughlin?”
Anti and Jack both stand up, but Jack speaks first.
Jack: “My teacher said I can go with him.”
Front desk person: “That’s Alright, Just Head into the principals office.”
Anti takes the lead on this one, he’s gone to the office plenty of times before while Jack... well... he’s never gone.
Just before Anti turns the handle Jack stops him. Anti looks at Jack to see a concern expression.
Jack: “You know I care about you right?”
Jack: “I care about you Alright? You make me laugh and smile everyday, don’t listen to those jerks. I’m here for you.”
Anti sighs, but instead of just brushing it off, Anti wraps his arms and Jack in a tight embrace:
Anti: “Don’t ever leave me...”
Jack: “I won’t Anti... I won’t.”
Jack then pulls back, and they walk into the office. What they didn’t expect was there to be two Police men stationed at each side of the principal.
Mr. Gerald: “Oh Sean, I didn’t expect you to come along.”
Anti bites the side of his lip, his name was Jack. NOT Sean...
Mr. Gerald: “well sit down you two, we have a lot to talk about.”
He then gestures to the two seats in front of his desk. They both comply, and sit down. Jack then leans over and whispers to Anti.
Jack: “Does he usually have cops in here?”
Jack sits back in his chair and observes his surroundings. This is his first time in the office after all. There’s a multiple achievements and trophies on the shelves next to the door. His certification of his teaching degree is hung right above his head. The walls where painted a eggshell color with a single black stripe running along. He then turns his attention back to the Principal.
Mr. Gerald: “You’ve been in my office a lot Anti. Is there any reason why you come here so much.”
Anti: “C-c..cause you c...-call me to c-..come.”
Mr. Gerald: “Of course. However, last time we met. You told me that you’d try and do better.”
Under his breath Anti spits out a foul sentence.
Anti: “Sorry that I’m not the high school super star who can afford therapy. Maybe if I dyed my hair blonde and got breast implants, then you’ll let my behavior slide.”
Jack laughs, which earns a sly smile from Anti.
Mr. Gerald: “What’s so funny, Sean.”
He raises an eyebrow, giving a look to Anti who sat there feeling accomplished.
Mr. Gerald: “Do you know why you’re here?”
Mr. Gerald: “Well... you see Anti. At this school, we like to make sure everyone is safe. That everyone feels welcomed and not threatened in any way.”
Anti: “Could have fooled me.”
Mr. Gerald: “Look Anti, I know you’ve had a fair share of bullying. But there’s no need for such accusations.”
Anti: “Accusations? Do you know how many times The ambulance has been over at this school because of my ‘Fair Share’ Of bullying?”
Mr. Gerald: “Now now Anti. The ambulance hasn’t come that many times.”
Anti: “Do you know how many times I’ve cried myself to sleep? Do you KNOW how many times Jack has needed to comfort me when I’ve felt like I should just end it all?”
Anti then stands up out of his chair, clearly wanting to get everything off of his chest. Jack smiles a little bit, Anti was finally able to speak his mind.
Anti: “Do you know how many times I have been humiliated? Do you know how many times I, MYSELF have considered just running away? Do you know how many letters a DAY I get for people telling me to Kill myself!?”
Tears start running down Anti’s face, letting it all out was the best thing he could be doing right now. However, the cops start looking at each other with guilt as well as making judging looks at the principal.
Anti: “Do you KNOW how miserable it is for me to just leave my house!? I’ve tried, and I’ve tried, and I’ve tried to be positive! But look at me!! I’m covered in bruises, scars, and mental trauma! My skin is grey!”
Jack quickly stands up, and wraps a arm around Anti, clearly wanting to make Anti Alright.
Anti: “If I’ve had a fair share of bullying then the rest of the school would be depressed like I am!”
He starts to cry harder, Jack looks up at the principal and he can see his expression covered in guilt. Jack can see right through him, he has a very good bullshit detector. The principal hasn’t tried a thing to help Anti, he thinks that he’s a freak as well as everyone else. Any respect that he had, had for him was gone.
Anti: “I just want to fit in!! Is that so much to ask!?”
He then just cries in Jack’s arms, clearly taken back from the whole ordeal. He didn’t even mention the way he gets bullied, and the cops are obviously disgusted by the principals carelessness. So obviously he tries to get off of the topic.
Mr. Gerald: “So, I called you in because of yesterday’s accident.”
Jack rolls his eyes, he didn’t even give Anti an apology. Hell he didn’t even say he’d try to help. Neither of them say anything so the principal keeps going.
Mr. Gerald: “These cops are here to take you away to the station for attempt of murder.”
Jack snaps his direction of the cops and principal. The cops started to move, but Jack’s stare made them freeze.
Jack: “Attempt at murder? What the fuck are you talking about?”
Anti looks at the police and principal at the corner of his eyes.
Mr. Gerald: “Josh Stinman. Senior, football team quarterback, he was put in the hospital yesterday after Anti stabbed him.”
Jack: “Do you have proof?”
Jack: “Do. You. Have. Proof?”
Mr. Gerald: “Not ON me, but we defiantly do.”
