Roger Christie had been a physicist at ACU for the past twelve years, working emphatically for the future. He’d dropped out of high school in the middle of his Senior year to take care of his parents. He’d gone on to graduate with a PhD in physical science. He spent his free time training with firearms. He was in a car accident when he was young, resulting in a broken leg. He’d given the valedictorian speech at his high school graduation. He’d never gone to college, as he was much too busy. He belatedly joined a police academy. He has an irrational fear of guns. He’s a great asset to his precinct’s baseball team. He’s never broken a bone in his life. He’s horrible at baseball. He never really put much thought into science or how the world works.
