if it's too dark ignore but what about a human friend of the bots who was killed but days later came back to life as a dark energon zombie who still had their mind
I just did HCs since it seemed like the easier option. I did most of the bots, but not all since eh, didn't feel like it. This might have ended up being a bit too dark and going in another direction, because I needed a reason for them to end up as a dark energon zombie, but oh well. Also I might have gone a bit overboard with this, but I enjoyed writing it so it’s looooong for HCs. I put it under the cut because it’s long and some people might not want to see any of this, even accidentally. TW for death, injury and corpse experimentation/torture(?)
•Everyone was of course incredibly upset when you passed, but then Megatron decided to pull the rug out from underneath all of them, by using dark energon on you to resurrect you
•The autobots didn’t know about it right away, because your body had also been taken by the cons and they’d decided to experiment on it
•Shockwave was the one doing the experiments, with Knockout assisting, even though he kinda hated it
•Anyway, they experimented on you with the dark energon and some other stuff and while your mind returned mostly, you were in excruciating pain all the time and your body wasn’t really functional
•One day, when you weren’t anymore use because Shockwave felt there was no more he could learn from you, Megatron in his infinite cruelty decided to dump you on the autobot’s doorstep
•Ratchet was the one to find you, because he was the one at the base at the time the proximity sensor went off
•He was appalled, and carefully hurried you to the medbay, telling everyone to else to stay away except for Optimus, because he didn’t want anyone to see you in such a state
•He had no idea what to do, he tried to lessen your pain, but he doesn’t have much knowledge in human medicine, let alone what to do when you were in such a state
•He somehow managed to get an insane amount of sedatives into you, which made you a little more docile, but you were still trying to rip yourself out of the restraints he had put on you
•Ratchet absolutely hated that he had to do that to you
•You didn’t realize where you were, you thought you were still at the Nemesis, but when Ratchet and Optimus started talking, you recognized their voices and stopped fighting so much
•Optimus was so incredibly angry, but even more so he was sad, this was never supposed to happen to anyone, least of all to any of the humans that were supposed to be under his team’s protection
•You were dead, that was a fact and there was nothing that could change that, no matter what anyone did
•After you realized where you were, and who you were with, there was a certain sense of relief, because you knew your suffering wouldn’t last much longer
•You begged for them to kill you, the dead are supposed to stay dead and now you knew why
•It’s something you certainly never wanted to have first hand experience on
•Arcee, Bee and Smokescreen weren’t far away, so when they heard your voice, none of them could believe it, so they basically rushed into the medbay, just to be stopped in their tracks by your mangled body struggling on the table
•Arcee’s legs gave out from under her and she just dropped, if she had been a human, she would have puked, she was crying
•Bee and Smokescreen had no freaking idea how to react, Bee’s first instinct was to try to comfort Arcee, but all he could do was stare at you
•Your eyes met Bee’s optics for a moment and all he saw in them was pain, so much pain, he had to look away
•Smokescreen was the only one who could get some words out, which were a quiet: “This can’t be real”
•Smokes could feel himself getting angrier and angrier as he realized you didn’t end up in such a date by yourself, someone did this to you, and he knew only one mech who would be capable of such cruelty
•You were begging for them to put you out of your misery the whole time, you couldn’t cry anymore, but
•Smokescreen is a bit naive in the fact that he thinks maybe they can still help you
•Everyone else is just looking at him with somber expressions, because the all realize that’s not possible
•Optimus is squeezing his hands into fists so hard it’s a miracle he didn’t dent himself
•He tells everyone else to leave, because it’s his responsibility put you out of your misery, he obviously doesn’t phrase it like that, but everyone knows what he means
•Ratchet puts his hand on Optimus’ shoulder for a moment, and then he rushes everyone out of the medbay
•When you realize it’s finally going to end, you just gurgle a quiet “thank you” before closing your one working eye and trying to keep yourself from struggling
•Optimus fire his blaster once, before a silence falls over the whole base
•The trouble trio is kept in the dark about the whole thing, for obvious reasons, but they do notice that the team seems even more upset than before
