Human Holidays and Surprises
Hereâs a little story I wanted to make in the sprite of Valantineâs Day with a little surprise twist~! I hope you like it (and hopfully find and read this before Valantineâs Day comes and goes) and have a wonderful day Eve!
Human customs were confusing.
Blitzwing had concluded that a long time ago when his conjunx started teaching him these strange events his techno-organic friend showed him. Most he found to be completely pointless and mundane with a few exceptions here and there. Like this one silly event that was called âHalloweenâ. He didnât understand the custom of dressing up to be completely something else, but seeing Bumblebeeâs face brighten up while partaking in such silly thing made it all bearable in the end.
They didnât partake in these âholidaysâ too often, often with various reasons or unforeseen setbacks that neither could work around. It was fine by Blitzwing most of the time. He wasnât very invested in partaking in these things unless he wanted to or Bumblebee convinced him otherwise. Sometimes he even convinced their children to participate in a few of these events. He didnât understand how his conjunx managed to convince nearly every one of their offspring to find time to come visit so they could participate with a silly and unimportant event that had little to no meaning to Cybertronian history, but he had to admit it was a little fun to participate in once in a while.
And maybe there was some meaning behind it all. He was well aware what each holiday meant and why, but he saw little reason to celebrate such meaningless things dedicated solely on an emotion. It was simply ridiculous!
But then again, these holidays did have their uses now and then. Specifically on one certain holiday Blitzwing acutely enjoyed to participate in.
It was hard to keep track of human holidays on a Cybertronian calendar, though he hardly cared about such dates unless it was a deadline for one of his sculptures a client ordered. When he last checked the calendar, he nearly had a spark attack when he saw how close it was to that certain day. He was normally polite bot, albeit he was a bit unhinged and unpredictable, but when he saw that certain almost around the corner Blitzwing let loose a wonderful long line of swears and curses.
That certain day was just two weeks away. Not enough time to make anything over the top or extremely special for Bumblebee. Normally when that certain day starts coming around, Blitzwing was usually prepared a month ahead. Two weeks was not enough time!
Cursing his bad luck, Blitzwing finished up his current order and made a rush on preparations. He didnât like rushing things. Rushing tended to make messes and imperfections, and Blitzwing disliked imperfections in any of his crafts and plans.
But there was no more time to plan and have everything crafted carefully. No time to putting every little detail in into décor and fancy words he could think of to sweep Bumblebee off his peds and make him swoon. Bumblebee kept telling him that it was alright when he missed the day, but Blitzwing wanted to show his conjunx how much he meant to him.
Seeing as he wouldnât be able to go over the top this year, Blitzwing decided to settle on something simple. There were a few items he still needed, but that would be tricky to get on his own.
Good thing he still knew how to keep in contact with Swindle! A good threat or two with a promise of scruples always made the arms dealer more willing to go through with any order. Though Blitzwing really wished he didnât have to resort to using help from an ex-colleague of his. But then again Swindle had never really been truly devoted to the Decepticon cause. Not unless it involved profit gain.
Still, he had to admit Swindle always came through with most demands he could work with. And lucky for Blitzwing, his order was fairly simple and straightforward, so Swindle was able to deliver his order quickly before the day arrived.
Putting the last finishing touches on decorations, Blitzwing stepped back to admire his work. Inspecting everything, a smirk crossed his face with satisfaction then checked the time. Bumblebee had gone off earlier to do some errands then visit Ratchet, so that gave Blitzwing some time to finish up on final preparations.
âHe should be heading back by now.â Blitzwing thought, tapping one of the hung dĂ©cor with his talon. It sparkled like a diamond, glowing with an array of colors. Blitzwing hummed, happy with his work. He kept staring at his work until his comm cracked to life.
Blitzwingâs optics and smile widened, his face spinning to Random. âIâm zorry! Zee number jou are trying to reach is no longer in zervice! Pleaze leave a message after zee long obnoxious beep! Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!â
<Iâm pretty sure thatâs not how disconnected numbers work Blitz.> Bee chuckled on the other end of the line.
Blitzwing let out his signature laugh, shaking the whole room with his crazy cackle before his face spun back to his calmer persona. âZorry, old habits.â
<Itâs fine. Besides, I like that part of you.> Beeâs voice made Blitzwingâs spark flutter. <Actually, I like ever part of you. It makes you⊠well, you.>
Blitzwing was sure his spark was spinning circles inside his spark chamber. âI like jou too.â His face spun again. âI LOVE EVERY PART OF JOU MY BITTY BEE!â
<Are you ever going to drop the whole obvious height difference thing?>
âNope!â Blitzwing chuckled, his wings fluttering with delight. âItâs funny how jou get all defensive about it.â
<Iâm not defensive! I just donât like it when people pick on me for my height all the time!>
A chuckle escaped Blitzwingâs vents as his face switched back to Icy, peeking out the window with the hope to spot a yellow sports car coming in the distance. âAre jou not far from home?â He dropped his voice to a soft whisper, as if he was telling an important secret. âIâve got a zurprize vaiting for jou here.â
<A surprise? What is it?>
This time Blitzwing let out a playful scoff. He could practically hear the excitement in Bumblebeeâs voice. âVeeeellll, jou need to come home und zee for jourzelf.â He cast his gaze around the room, making sure everything was set up perfectly for Bumblebeeâs arrival. âI zink jou vill like it.â
<⊠itâs not another cyber-squirrel you found right?>
The ex-Decepticonâs optics widened, face spinning to Hothead. âOF COURSE ITâS NOT A CYCBER-ZQUIRREL! VHY VOULD IT BE ANOTHER CYBER-ZQUIRREL?!â
<OH THANK PRIMUS! I do NOT want another incident after the last one!>
âOh please, it vasnât zat bad.â Blitzwing huffed, pushing out hot steams of air from his vents. âUnd zat vas ztellar cycles ago.â
<And Iâm still finding bite marks on my aft and chewed up bolts laying around the house!>
His face spun back to Icy. âI zaid I vas zorry.â
Blitzwing tapped his digits together. The incident had not been one of his best moments back then. He blamed his more unhinged side for the incident and never was able to live it down. The cyber-squirrel liked him, but it certainly did not like Bumblebee.
<Oh!> Beeâs voice caught Blitzwingâs attention. <Speaking of surprises. I have a surprise for you as well!>
âA zurprise? For me?â Blitzwing blinked in surprise. Bumblebee had a surprise? Just for him? Did he know what day it was today as well?
<Yeah! Itâs a good one! ⊠I think.> Blitzwing frowned, noting a small nervous tone in his conjunxâs voice. Come to think of it, there had been a slight nervous tone in his voice at the beginning of the conversation.
âBumblebee? Are jou alright?â
<Huh? Oh Yeah! Yeah totally! Completely a hundred percent fine! No worries here!>
Blitzwing narrowed his optic, gazing out the window again. He didnât like that nervous tone in his conjunxâs voice. And the way Bumblebee was trying to deny anything being wrong⊠âHummel, vhere are jou right now?â
<Iâm about halfway home right now. Maybe a bit further away. Why?>
Halfway? Blitzwingâs monocle zoomed out, trying to spy the familiar color of bright sunny yellow. His frown deepened when he couldnât spot anything at the halfway point of their home. âJou usually donât take zis long to get home vhen jouâre driving.â
<Oh, well Iâm not driving. Iâm walking.>
âValking?!â Blitzwing sputtered, his optic ridges flying up on his face. Bumblebee? Walking?! Was that even possible?!
<!!! Uh, Gotta Go! See You Later!>
âBumblebee!â Blitzwing called out, but it was too late. Bee had already shut off his end of the comm-link. Blitzwingâs intake hung open, completely in shock as his mind reeled for the information. Bumblebee? Walking? That wasnât something in his conjunxâs dictionary! Nor was it something that he liked to do!
Unless something was completely wrong.
Blitzwingâs face hardened, moving towards the door.
âGreat. Just great. Nice going Bumblebee.â Bee muttered to himself as he walked. If any of his friends were with him right now, they would probably be staring at him with their intakes wide open. Him? Walking of all things?! It wasnât really unheard of, but it wasnât something that Bumblebee ever used to describe himself as.
He was a bot made for speed and danger, living on the edge and enjoying the high life⊠or at least some of the high life. He and Blitzwing had settled down quite nicely on Cybertron. Blitzwing had taken up a nice steady job as a sculptor and Bee took a few odd jobs here and there just so he would have something to do to keep himself busy and help out.
However, he would need to stop that pretty soon. Not if he wanted Ratchet to chew him out for not being careful in his condition. Even though he got a pretty big chew out earlier.
Despite his worries, Bee smiled, placing his servos over his chest. Specifically over a certain area he and everyone he was close to knew about.
He had been suspicious for a couple of days when he started feeling off. He thought it was only a small bug or something minor. He didnât want to worry Blitzwing over anything that wasnât major, though he really didnât like keeping secrets from his conjunx. So he made a small lie to Blitzwing that he would be out for errands and visit his grand-sire later. In truth he had actually called his grand-sire a day earlier and set up a time for an appointment to meet with him.
He could have gone to a different doctor, but he would rather put his trust in familiar family servos than a complete strangers. Besides, Ratchet was the best of the best when it came to medical knowledge. So if it was something serious, Ratchet was certain to take care of it before it got any worse.
Besides, it was also nice to see someone from his family again in physical apperance. Bee would hardly admit it, but he missed having his kids around. He knew he still had good connections with all four of them, but they hardly came over anymore unless he called and begged them to come over. There had been a few times were one of the twins would stop by now and then, but Bumblebee missed all his children together.
He missed his sparklings, even if they werenât sparklings anymore and had their own families now, he deeply missed the times when his and Blitzwingâs children were just small grubs that he could hold in his arms and hug them close to his spark. He and Blitzwing had often talked about having another sparkling after their current ones were all grown and having families of their own, but they kept putting it off or finding reasons not to.
Bee hummed, staring up at the sky as he thought of his kids. Hornet had been a planned sparkling, something he and Blitzwing had talked about for months when they were seeing each other in secret. It started out as a simple joke that evolved into something to discuss and plan for a long time before finally committing to it. His team hadnât been too happy when they not only found out that he got sparked, but the sire just also happened to the Decepticon Blitzwing.
Ratchet had never been so angry with Bumblebee, yelling at the top of his voice for megacycles till his vox shorted out and needed repairs. Bee hadnât been happy with Ratchetâs outburst and the cold shoulder he gave him afterwards, but at least things soon turned out for the better when Blitzwing finally left the Decepticonâs and joined the Autobots and it only got better when Hornet emerged. Ratchet was still angry with him for being ârecklessâ, but eventually he forgave Bee.
Hornet had been a very mixed result of emotions from the team. Most of them had been confused why he chose a Decepticon as his conjunx, and didnât accept Blitzwing readily as Bee had. Hornet had gotten off easier as she was just a sparkling but he could see that they warmed up to Hornet fairly quickly. Her cute sparkling charms and pure innocence had won over his teammates quickly, which sort of helped with the sudden arrival of Wing Ding.
While everyone assumed Hornet had been an unplanned sparkling, Wing Ding had been a real surprise to everyone. Especially for Bumblebee and Blitzwing. Neither had known or realized that Blitzwing was carrying until their sonâs surprise emergence. Ratchet had given them both a receptor full for days for not being careful or thinking of the consequences with their actions. It had been a sudden adjustment for everyone with the sudden arrival of Wing Ding, but accepted it quickly after some time.
Having two sparklings to raise, Bee found himself loving his kids immensely every day. He and Blitzwing each had a preferred favorite child, but they both loved their children equally. And when both grew older and much time had passed, he and Blitzwing discussed the possibility of another child to have. They both agreed that they missed having little peds running around and had even discussed this with Ratchet, pleased to have discussed this with the old medic while planning for another sparkling and were prepared this time.
Twins. A mech and a femme.
Bee nearly fell over laughing. It seemed he and Blitzwing were just destined to have surprise sparklings, whether they were planned or not. Still, both creators loved the twins dearly, equally watching over and raising them till they went off on their own. Bee kept in touch with the twins and followed their journals as best as he could, but he couldnât help but feel that Shutter was hiding something from everyone. She had assured him that it was nothing serious and that he shouldnât worry, but Bumblebee would always worry over all his kids.
Planned or not, he loved each and every one of his children.
Bumblebee hugged himself, feeling a small pulse of a tinnier being next to his spark chamber belonging to a small spark that was growing inside his gestation chamber.
Bumblebee couldnât believe it. He was carrying. He thought it wasnât possible ever since the incident with his first sparkling Hornet outgrowing his gestation chamber in an alarming rate. Ratchet was sure that it had gone offline permanently, or at least a few million years. But no.
Only a few thousand years had passed and Beeâs gestation tank had repaired and came back online. Ratchet had summarized that it was possible that since Bee was young and healthy, his nanites had easily repaired the damage undisturbed thanks to the peaceful times they were living in. Which lead to surprise baby number five.
To say that Bumblebee had been surprised by the news of a new sparkling to come in his family was accurate. Though he never expected to be the one carrying it. If anything, both he and Blitzwing had agreed that if they ever planned for another sparkling, Blitzwing would obviously be the one to carry it. Mostly for the knowledge that Bumblebee couldnât carry anymore and that Blitzwing was a safer option since he was larger and had already carried three sparklings prior before.
Well, it seemed that Bumblebee had accidentally beaten him to the punch first and baby number five was already on their way before either creator planned to have another. What a drama he was living in!
Bee sighed, rubbing his chest over where his gestation tank laid. He wasnât sure how Blitzwing was going to react when he finds out. Or maybe he already suspected something when Bumblebee told him that he had a surprise for him.
Blitzwing was a good bot, if you donât count any of his past war actions, but the thought of having any more sparklings was always something that he needed to mentally prepare himself for. Heck, they had to talk for months before Blitzwing was prepared to make Hornet. And the twins took even longer! Wing Ding didnât have such privilege as he was a surprise unplanned sparkling that no one even suspected!
Bee groaned, slapping his face. Wing Dingâs unplanned arrival really shook Blitzwing to the core. He was very unprepared and completely nervous for days till Bumblebee managed to calm him down. But what about this sparkling? He was sure to have a mental break down if Bumblebee told him he was going to be a sire again!
âOkay Bumblebee.â The mech stopped in his tracks, turning to look at his reflection on a building wall. He a Blitzwing lived some ways away from the more populated area of Cybertron, so he was in a more reclusive part of the planet that had few bots walking about. Right now though, Bumblebee was standing alone (kind of) staring at his reflection that stared back at him with a frown on his face.
Staring at those big blue optics of his, Bee wondered how Blitzwing was going to react to the news. It certainly wasnât going to be positive. Not if he just dropped the news on him out of nowhere. âTelling him straight out wonât be good. Heâll probably have a mental break down if I dump it all on him at once. Maybe if I practice heâll take the news more gently?â Bee wondered out loud, rubbing his chin in thought. âHe takes things much better if heâs eased into the idea first before getting the whole message.â
Bee stared into his reflection, pretending he was looking right at Blitzwing. âHey Blitz! Nice day weâre having right? ⊠no thatâs not right. Um⊠Hi Blitzwing! I missed you. Okay, good start. So, remember when I said I had a surprise for you over the comm-link? Well, itâs not a physical gift⊠for now. Okay no, thatâs not going to work⊠So, Blitzwing, remember how we usually talk about having another kid-no thatâs too much! Blitzwing I love you but I need to share that love with someone-NO! Thatâs Terrible!â
Bumblebee groaned, slapping his face. There was no way he could be subtle with this to Blitzwing. He was a more straightforward bot! He was good at just telling the point straight out. Dragging his servo down his face, looking at his reflection.
ââŠâ Taking a deep breath, Bee sighed. â⊠Blitzwing. Do you know how long weâve⊠known each other? Just the two of us? Those times were special to me, and I hope they were special to you too⊠But, I think those times are coming to an end soon. N-Not forever itâs just-! ⊠I love you, with all my spark. But I canât give you solely all that love anymore! Somethingâs⊠come up. Something that I canât ignore or put aside for a different time because⊠Iâm carrying. Iâm carrying your sparkling inside me. I know, I know we all thought I couldnât carry again but I got checked over by Ratchet and heâs not a hundred percent sure why my gestation tank is back online but⊠weâre having another sparkling Blitz. Weâre having another kid.â
Bumblebee thought over the speech he gave himself, nodding to himself with a confident smile. âOkay, thatâs a good way to tell him. Might give him a little scare at the beginning but the rest should be good. Could use a few word changes here and there but still should be good enough.â Nodding his helm, Bumblebee turned to head homeâŠ
And came face to face with someoneâs leg.
Letting out a surprised yelp, Bumblebee tumbled backwards, landing on his back. Shaking his helm, he looked up at the bot he ran into with an angry scowl, but it quickly melted away to worry when he saw who exactly it was he ran into. âB-B-B-Blitzwing!â Bumblebee looked up in surprise at his conjunxâs sudden appearance. How in the world di he not notice Blitzwing coming?!
âUh, h-hey Blitz!â Bumblebee scrambled to his peds, rubbing the back of his helm with an embarrassed smile on his face. âI thought you were at home. W-What are you doing hereâŠ?â Beeâs voice trailed off, staring at Blitzwingâs unmoving form. â⊠soooo⊠how much did you hear?â Bee chuckled, tapping two of his digits together while waiting for the explosive response he was sure to come out of Blitzwing.
Blitzwingâs current face was on Icy, but the usual stoic expressionless look he always wore on his face was replaced by a dumbstruck look, staring right at Bumblebee with his intake hanging wide open.
Bee began to frown as the seconds ticked by and Blitzwing had still not moved or say a word to him. It was reaching a minute before Bumblebeeâs patience ran thin. âUh, Blitz? Are you going to say anything orââ
In a blink, Bee was whisked off his peds and suddenly in a tight hug. The wind was knocked right out of him as he was pressed close to Blitzwingâs chest.
âREALLY?!â Bee was released from the death hug and lifted up to Blitzwingâs grinning giddy Random face. âVeâre Really Having Another Zparkling?!â
âUh⊠y-yeah.â Bee smiled, relieved that Blitzwing wasnât angry about the news. âWeâre really having another sparkling.â
Blitzwingt squealed with delight, his wings fluttering with sheer force as he brought Bumblebee into a hug again. âIâM GOING TO BE A ZIRE AGAIN!â He screamed at the top of his voice, spinning and hopping back and forth on his peds as poor Bee was slowly getting the wind squeezed out of him from Blitzwingâs deadly hug. âIâm Going To Be A Zire Again! Iâm Going To Be A Zire Again! Iâmââ
Blitzwing stopped suddenly, his face switching back to Icy. âOh! Iâm zo zorry Hummel!â He exclaimed as he set Bee down gently. Bumblebee stumbled a bit but quickly gained his bearings and smiled up at his conjunx.
âLittle excited much Blitz?â Bee joked, cracking a smile at the larger bot. Blitzwing only smiled, leaning down and placing a kiss on Bumblebeeâs lips. Bumblebee eagerly kissed back, wrapping his arms around Blitzwingâs neck. âI take it youâre happy?â He asked as he pulled away, pressing his forehead against Blitzwingâs.
âThrilled.â Blitzwing purred, nuzzling against Bee. âHow far along are jou?â
Bumblebee shrugged. âEh. Ratchet says that Iâm possibly almost two weeks along right now. Which, uh, matches up with our last, um, ânightly activatesâ.â
Blitzwing chuckled as a light blush dusted Bumblebeeâs cheeks. âI zee⊠vait.â Blitzwing pulled away, looking at Bumblebee up and down. âI zought jou vouldnât be able to carry zparkling anymore.â
âI thought so too. And so did Ratchet.â Bee glanced down at his chest, hugging himself. âBut apparently that wasnât the case.â
Whirr. âBut Zat Doesnât Make Any Zense! How Is Jour Gestation Tank Online Again?! Vasnât It Zupposed To Be Offline Permanently Or Zomething?!â
âI donât know! I just know that I felt off for a while and went to see Ratchet and got the news that Iâm carrying again!â Bee threw his servos up in the air, huffing. âI really though I wouldnât be able to carry again but here I am!â
Blizwing stared at him a moment before his face spun back to Icy, bringing a servo up to Beeâs chest. â⊠Didnât Ratchet zay it vould take millions of years for it to ever come online again? Vith all zee damage it zuffered vhen Hornisse emerged?â
âYeah, he did.â Bee grabbed Blitzwingâs servo. âBut he suspects that since Iâm still young and healthy, my nanites were able to repair it without any disturbances. He said heâll look into it later on my next appointment.â
Blitzwing hummed, rubbing his thumb over Bumblebeeâs chest. A soft smile crossed his face after a while. âVeâre having another zparkling.â
Bee chuckled. âYeah. We really donât plan these things out too well huh?â
Blitzwing chuckled, scooping Bee up and hugging him close to his chest. âNein. Ve donât.â
A wide smile crossed Beeâs face as he hugged Blitzwing back. â⊠Iâm glad you liked my surprise. I was a bit worried you werenât going to like it.â
âNot like it? Hummel, zis is zee best zurprise jou could ever give me!â Blitzwing smiled at his smaller lover. âVhy vould jou ever zink I vouldnât like zis?â
âWell, it took you a while before to prepare yourself so we could make Hornet.â Bee lifted up a servo. âAnd the twins were even longer to make because of the large scare that Wing Ding gave you when he emerged⊠I was⊠kind of scared youâd freak out a little when you learned about this one.â
Blitzwing snorted. âFreak out? Hardly. Veâve talked about having another zparkling here und zere.â
âYeah, but this one wasnât really planned. And even if we did plan on it, you were supposed to be the one carrying it, not me.â
âI zuppose.â Blitzwing hummed, moving in the direction of their home. âBut I guess it canât be helped now, can it?â
Bumblebee huffed, but didnât deny Blitzwingâs words. Instead, he snuggled into his conjunxâs warm embrace, sighing with contentment. â⊠we need to tell the otherâs about this.â
âVe vill. Later.â Blitzwing assured, smiling down at Bumblebee. âRight now, I zink itâs best zat jou rest before sharing zee big news vith anyone else.â
âMmm. Is that why youâre carrying me? Cause I can still walk you know.â
âI Refuse!â Blitzwing exclaimed with his Hothead face, hugging Bee close with a smug grin on his face. âValking Is Not In Jour Dictionary Und I Refuse To Let It Be!â
âJerk.â Bumblebee huffed, but there was a large notable smile on his face.
Whirr. âAwwwwwww zank jou! I take quite zee pride of being a big zee biggest jerk around! AHAHAHAHA!â
Bee snorted, shifting in Blitzwingâs hold, reaching up and planting a kiss on his jagged lips. âSo, I showed, well not really showed you anything but I already told you my surprise. Whatâs yours?â
Blitzwing hummed, batting his optics as he looked up at the sky. âMmmmmmmmmmmmm jouâll have to vait und zee~!â
âOh come on! Canât you give me a hint or something?â
âNein nein. Zat vould only ruin zee zurprise!â
âBut you ruined your surprise first!â
âI vas ztill zurprised!â
âIt still doesnât count!â
âCheater!â Bee growled, pointing a digit at Blitzwingâs grinning face. âThatâs cheating right there and you know it!â
Blitzwing only threw his helm back and laughed, angering Bumblebee even more. âThatâs It! Let me down right now! Iâm walking home by myself!â
âNeiiiiiinnnnn!â Blitzwing wrapped his arms around Bumblebee, pinning him against his chest. âI vill never let jou go Hummel!â
âBlitz! Youâre crushing me!â
Blitzwing flinched before setting Bumblebee down carefully, switching back to Icy and checking Bee over for any injuries. âZorry.â
Bee waved, drawing in a bit of air and sighing. âItâs fine. Iâm fine.â He gave Blitzwing a soft smile. âJust be a little more careful for a while okay? Donât want any complications with this kid before they emerge.â
Blitzwing gave Bee a soft smile, but it quickly melted into a look of worry. âV-vait. Is zee child zmall?â
âIs zee zparkling. Are zey zmall?â Blitzwing asked again, looking at Beeâs chest with worry. âZee last time jou carried, Hornisse did catastrophic damage to jour gestation chamber!â
âWhoa Blitz calm down. Thereâs no need to worryââ
âZereâs Plenty To Vorry!â Blitzwing exclaimed, looking Bee over frantically. âVe have no idea how zis one vill turn out vhile jouâre carrying! Vhat if it grows too big like Hornisse did? Vhat if zomething happens vhile jouâre carrying? Vhat if it emerges to early?! Or if its zpark znuffs out before it even gets a chance toââ
âWhoa whoa whoa! Calm Down Blitzwing!â Bumblebee grabbed one of Blitzwingâs servos, giving it a squeeze. âHey, itâs alright. Donât worry too much about it.â
âShh.â Bee squeezed the large servo. âRatchet checked me over, remember? My health is fine right now.â
âFor now. But vhat about later?! Vhat ifââ
âBlitz. Relax.â Bumblebee went up to his worried conjunx, wrapping his arms around the large botâs neck and gave it a squeeze. âItâs okay. Thereâs nothing wrong. Ratchet double and tripled checked for me, so thereâs no problem with them right now.â
âBut vhat if zomething pops up later?â Blitzwing muttered, hugging Bumblebee close but made sure not to squeeze him too tightly.
âThen weâll be sure to make constant checkups with Ratchet to make sure itâs healthy and nothing goes wrong.â
â⊠und⊠to make zure it doesnât outgrow jour gestation chamber?â
âSure.â Bee nuzzled his face against Blitzwing. âIf it makes you feel better, then we can do that.â He felt Blitzwing relax under his touch, his engines purring beneath him. He was glad that Blitzwing begun to relax and not worry as much. Truth be told, Bumblebee had the same set of worries as Blitzwingâs, if not more to the point of crying his optics out. Thankfully his grand-creators had been there to calm him down and assure him that things would be alright in the end. âIn fact, Iâve got an appointment with Ratchet tomorrow.â
âZat zoon?â Blitzwing pulled away to look at Bumblebee in astonishment.
âYeah. Like I said, weâll make constant checkups to be sure everythingâs okay. Well, Ratchet kind of forced me too and heâs my grand-sire so I really canât say no to him. Oh, and he wants to have a few words with you tomorrow.â
Blitzwing chuckled, shaking his helm with a deep sigh. âI zee. Vell, zatâs good I guess.â His optics gazed at Bumblebeeâs chest. His gaze stayed locked on the minibotâs chest before looking up to meet Bumblebeeâs gaze with a soft smile on his face. âZough, I ztill have a feeling zat I vill need to drag jou to jour appointments vith Ratchet.â
Bee groaned, rolling his optics at Blitzwingâs humor. âOh come on! You know I donât like medical checkups, theyâre just not my thing!â Bee huffed, crossing his arms as Blitzwing chuckled and picked him up again.
âVery, better to ztay zafe zan zorry later down zee line no? For jou und zee zmall zpark in jou.â
âYeah, well, I still donât like them!â Bee proclaimed as Blitzwing carried him all the way back to their home. âI mean, do you even know how boring they are most of the time?! And Ratchet really doesnât help it when he tries to explain stuff in that monotone voice of his! That only doubles it to being, like, triple boring! Do you know how much of boring that is?!â
âExactly!â Bee exclaimed as Blitzwing set him down in front of their home. âAnd thatâs not even the worst part! The worst part is when theyâ!â Bee stopped short when he opened the door. He blinked a few times before they widened when they registered the sight before him. â⊠oh myâŠâ
Bee looked back at Blitzwing, his intake falling open with shock and wonder all over his face. Blitzwing could only smile, nodding his helm towards their home. Bee turned to look back at the interior of their home.
At first glance, Bumblebee thought Blitzwing had frozen the whole room in ice as everything was covered in white, but on closer inspection, he could see that it wasnât ice. It was a cloth, white as ice and snow that had laces and ribbons sewn on to appear as real snow and ice. Bee gingerly stepped into the room, looking around with wide stunned optics.
Each cloth had patterns of hearts and flowers on them, all ranging from large to small one. Glancing up at the ceiling, Bee gazed at the different crystals that were each shaped into a unique snowflake and hung up high above his helm, shimmering like stars against the lighting. The walls were also decorated, covered with red roses, tulips, carnations, orchids, and peonies, all arranged into hearts and bumblebees.
Bumblebee covered his intake when he spotted a large heart made of yellow and purple flowers on the wall with the initials of B.W. <3 B.B. 4 EVER inside it. He stared at the sight, transfixed on the bold claim of love all around the room.
âI hope zat zis zuitable enough of a good zurprise for jou.â Bumblebee gazed over his shoulder as Blitzwing came in the room, placing his servos on Bee with a smile on his face. âI vould have done more, but I didnât have enough time as I vould have liked, zoâŠâ He gazed down at Bee with a loving smile. âHappy Valentineâs day love.â
Bee felt his intake wobble, staring at Blitzwing with wide open optics that were getting misty. His vents hitched the longer he stared at Blitzwing before turning around and flinging himself at the large mech, hugging him tightly. He couldnât form words properly as he just hugged his conjunx close to him, grinning widely with deep love on his face. âBlitz thisâ! I canâtâ! You areâ! The room isâ!â
He babbled on for a while as tears streamed down his face. After a while, he finally managed to squeeze out words from his intake. âI love you. I love you so much, thereâs not enough words to describe how much I love you.â
