Beri waktu bumi untuk bernapas. Bumi juga butuh liburan. Bumi sehat jangan cuma kalau ada wabah aja ya. Selamat Hari Bumi 🌎 #haribumi #earthday #selamatharibumi #jagabumi #bumisehat #terimakasihcorona (at Bekasi) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_Rp1WWlNBZ/?igshid=5qll27an5rpu
'Bali Spirit' - New print edition available💫 link in profile... proceeds go to @bumisehatbali In 1996 I went to Bali, Indonesia to volunteer for the Organisation now called Bumi Sehat... it was in the beginning phases and was able to help illustrate a book educating people on traditional uses of local plants for childbirth. I immersed myself deeply there and thought I might never leave... i returned in 2006 on a vision quest and this painting is one of the first ones that came out... it is one of the first of many 'egg portals'. I've created this new edition to generate funds to send back to Bumi Sehat ... Robin Lim has helped usher hundreds of safe home births and continues to be a stronghold that the community can depend on. This painting is a meditation piece, finding peace amidst the colorful ecstatic energy of life.. #giving #bumisehat #balispirit #visionaryart
Today we visited Bumi Sehat, a clinic that is free of charge and is focused on helping poor mothers have adequate prenatal care and safe, peaceful deliveries. This is a growing NGO that was set up by Robin Lim after losing her sister and niece to childbirth complications. In Indonesia, when women can’t afford their hospital bills, the hospital will not release the child. If you can spare any amount of money, these women need your health to have safe deliveries and to actually get their children back after birth! Women’s health and public health care for all is something that is dear to my heart and I hope to be working at Bumi Sehat in the upcoming months!
