Summer Camp’s Game of Capture the Confederate Flag Sparks New Civil War

CHARLESTON - Civil War spread rapidly across South Carolina on Saturday after Camp Tandawana counsellors authorized the use of a Confederate flag for a game of capture the flag. Dozens of campers from the southern bunk houses took up arms in attempt to recapture the flag from the northern bunk houses. Anticipating retaliation, the northerners took up arms as well. The two sides met in a bloody battle on the camp’s soccer field, killing most of the campers.

“We should have used a pillow case like we did last year,” said General James Bradley Arthur, a camp counselor and leader of the Southern Bunkers. “We’ve lost so many good kids.”

Survivors on both sides called for reinforcements. South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley sent in state militias to continue the Southern Bunker’s cause, while President Obama ordered the National Guard to aid the Northern Bunkers in ending the rebellion. A temporary cease-fire for s’mores and ghost stories was agreed upon just after 9:00 PM EST. Skirmishes are expected to resume in the morning.
