Prairie Schooner
My young friends, Jessica Vance and Josh Vance, have built and deployed an old-timey, 3-season bunkie called the Prairie Schooner, which I adore, https://youtube.com/shorts/Lv3WWZgkjJ4.
You just roll this lightweight object d'art onto your field or backyard or next to your cottage, et voilà, instant accommodation—100% off grid.
It's on Airbnb too if you'd like to learn more or book it for a weekend, https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/1414510043728817053?source_impression_id=p3_1749132710_P3dfb0_K2yMFHqGU.

From sixteen Fanlore Featured Articles, eight remain... who will make it to the semi-finals?
[ID: A set of four brackets, two on each side, with the Fanlore logo in the centre above the words 'Featured Article Faceoff: Round 2'. Names of Fanlore featured articles are pitted against each other as outlined below. /End ID]
It's round two of Fanlore's Featured Article Faceoff, and things are really heating up! Check out the contenders below and vote for your favorite:
Sex Pollen, the trope that causes your fave characters to lose all their inhibitions, faces off against Bunkies, the first fic where "gasp" there was only one bed! Vote for the winner!
Uhura, the beloved Star Trek character who broke barriers, is now up against Manpain, the fannish term for the concept of centering a male white character's pain... Who will make it through?
Metafic, the genre of fic where the characters interact with the author, is facing off against Fandom Ghost: Created Out Of Wholecloth By Fanon, a phenomenon where a very minor character is given a typical fanon archetype. Which one gets your vote?
Last but not least, Slow Show, the popular Good Omens AU, just survived its bout with see it all in bloom in the last round. Now it's up against Reader-Insert, a type of fic where the reader is a character within the narrative, which narrowly survived its own bout with Against the Sith. Which one will take the lead?
Featured Article: Bunkies
Let’s set the scene: Luke Skywalker and Han Solo are exhausted from a day spent adventuring across space. They need a place to rest but, lo and behold, there is only one bed.
That’s right, in April 1979, the earliest example of the beloved Bed Sharing trope was published in fanzine Against the Sith. Although this fic is comedic, rather than romantic, the accompanying fanart and moments of intimacy hinted at other possibilities.
This set the wheels in motion for a trope that persists throughout all fandoms! Read more about this OG Star Wars fic in this week’s Featured Article!
