Omg! These buns! BAO BUNS!! Im obsessed with these buns! I go everywhere and try them, there becoming quiet popular, finding them in student local bars, street food venders and obviously oriential Asian restaurants. When i see these i cant help myself but have one they satisfy my soul!
In sheffield you can find them in forum on division street, these are ok but the bun is to dence qnd meat often is quite fatty but still edible, wagamama does them and to be honest id only ever return to wagamama for there buns after our last visit. There is a street food vendor that attended a street food event at trafalgar warehouse and they were amazing probably the best ive had and since ive not been able to find her anywhere (if anyone knows who im talking about please let me know,) z has yet to try these and we have tried to find her again.
But... In Manchester there is one place we go to, Shoryu where I always get bao buns which i think until i find this street food vendor again holds the crown for bao bun. Its not to expensive its two for £8, the buns are perfect and fluffy, the meat is a great cut perfectly marinated! My mouths watering writing this! There food is great all round there ramen is so nice, so are there cocktails! I need now to go feed myself im hungry!
