Yeah I wasn't really bothered until I reread the first book with an adult mind, because no matter how you spin it they made these three orphan's pain into comedy and that is awful to me. The heart of this story isn't Mr. Snicket's writing quirks but the story of the orphans he followed, and I want them to be focused on this time around.
