Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped. 1 large onion, thinly sliced. 4 burger buns. 1/2 cup mayonnaise. 2 tbsp horseradish sauce. 1 clove garlic, minced. 1 tsp olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. Lettuce leaves for garnish. Sliced tomatoes for garnish. Sliced cheese optional.
Instructions: Set a pan on medium heat and add the olive oil. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring every now and then, for about 20 to 25 minutes, until the onions are caramelized and browned. Put away. Put chopped mushrooms in the same pan and cook them until they dry out and turn golden brown. Add pepper and salt. Put away. Set up your grill or griddle on the stove over medium-high heat while the mushrooms are cooking. Add salt and pepper to the ground beef, then shape it into 4 burger patties. Grill the burger patties until they're done the way you like them. If you want, add cheese in the last minute of cooking. To make the aioli, put canola oil, horseradish sauce, and garlic powder in a small bowl and mix them together. On the grill, toast the burger buns until they get a little brown. Spread a lot of horseradish aioli on the bottom half of each bun before putting the burgers together. Put a lettuce leaf on top of the aioli, then a burger patty, onions that have been caramelized, and mushrooms that have been sauted. Spread tomato slices and the other half of the bun on top.
