Waffle Burgers are a fun take on the classic burger because they don't use buns but instead use crispy waffles. This recipe makes a tasty meal that's perfect for any time of the day by combining sweet waffles with savory burger patties.
Ingredients: 4 frozen waffles. 4 burger patties beef, turkey, or veggie. 4 slices cheese cheddar, Swiss, or your choice. 1 cup baby spinach leaves. 1 tomato, sliced. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 2 tablespoons mustard. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the package to toast the frozen waffles until they are golden brown. In the meantime, cook the burger patties over medium heat on a grill or in a skillet until they are done the way you like them. Put a slice of cheese on top of each cooked patty and let it melt a bit. Put mustard on one side of each waffle and mayonnaise on the other. A few small spinach leaves should be put on the mayo side of each waffle. On top of the spinach, put a cooked patty with melted cheese. Place a few tomato slices on top of the patty. Add pepper and salt to taste. Finally, put the mustard side of another waffle on top of each burger to close it up. Serve right away and enjoy!
