Day 30! Burning Gundam/God Gundam Hyper Mode (G Gundam)

SEKIHA! TENKYOKEN!!!

I made it to 30 days of drawing! I wanted to do something special, so I drew my favorite Gundam pilot’s strongest Gundam, the Burning Gundam! I listen to a lot (and I mean a LOT) of Music from G Gundam, and most of it is the theme of the Shining and the Erupting Burning Fingers. So I just had to put that music to good use!

G Gundam is my favorite Gundam anime, and Domon Kasshu is my favorite gundam pilot (with Kou Uraki in a firm second place.) But I have to confess that I like the Shining gundam more than the Burning/God gundam. I think the shapes of the Shining gundam are cooler, and the opening mask gimmick is more fun. But I can’t deny the narrative significance of the Burning Gundam, and how it’s gimmick of an opening chest, mirroring Domon’s character arc of being more in touch with his emotions and feelings about himself and others, and the key to winning. Meanwhile the shining gundam was more about bearing your teeth and beating bad guys with anger (something that gets mirrored in the Devil gundam.)

I would have drawn the shining gundam today, but I already have a drawing of it!

It’s not part of the daily doodles, I did it a few months ago, I just felt like sharing.

Another thing I feel like doing is thanking all of you for liking and sharing my work around! I’m still learning about art, and how to do it well, and you all sharing it around and rebooting it, or however tumble works. It makes me happy, and excited to draw again! I haven’t been that way in some time, so thank you!
