Supernatural Poetry Challenge | @burningwicker vs. @amadtributewithaship Prompt: Fear Characters: Sam, mentioned Dean and John Tags: First hunt, pre-series, angst
It’s your first time and -
Don’t worry, they said, It’s just a simple ghost hunt. It’ll be over in minutes, We promise.
Promises don’t mean anything, Not in this life, not on the job. You’re safe, Dean promised. We’re never safe, you said.
You breathe out. It shakes. (Don’t let Dad see) Your hands tighten on the gun But they tremble and he knows.
You could die tonight, So could Dad or Dean. You’ve barely started living and you could die tonight.
- you’re scared.
@burningwicker replied to your post: Hi, um I loved your story Game Night but the...
I think they do take down stolen works. Might take a couple tries.
They are actually very good at taking down stolen works. I reported 2 yesterday and they were down by this morning. I've reported 2 more today, we'll see how quick they come down. But, what they aren't good at is dealing with the thieves. They don't always disable their account, so they can keep stealing.
I was thrust into a world where limits do not exist. It is cruel and unforgiving, completely merciless. Forced to be someone I'm not but somehow fundamentally built, I am expected to carry this burden, and along with it, the guilt. Days turn to weeks, and months to years. This life is not mine, no, I will not shed my tears. I do my duty in hopes of release, to return to the life I once knew. “This ain’t a duty, it’s your life.” It’s no gift, it’s a big Screw You. I’ve been caught in the line of fire, and it looks like I won’t be going home yet. I’ve given everything I have through my own blood and sweat. What more do I have, what more can they take? This burden is far too heavy, I feel that I may break. This is who I am now; But I’m not sure I’ll make it out alive. To think Advanced Placement was tough, this is more than I can survive. I lost my youth to this calling; I wanted something different, something more. And now my time here is finished; always beware the effects of war. Mother don’t you mourn me; for I am finally going home. It’s to a place where I belong, where I no longer aimlessly roam. I now carry no burden or with it, any fear. Just look to the heavens when you’re sad, and know that I’ll be near.
I’ll be there in the stars // n.s.
Supernatural Poetry Challenge | adoringjensen vs burningwicker Prompt: Kevin Tran Pairing: none Tags: canon death mention
to be given, for @burningwicker, sentimental au one night stand Sadreel drivel
Sam hadn’t expected anything that had happened that night. He’d expected a few drinks and some awkward conversation with the group of friends that Garth had dragged him out to meet. He had tried his best to stuff his anxiety down and be good company, engage in some conversation, but he hadn’t actually expected someone to talk back to him. To challenge him. To engage him in a discussion of politics and personal responsibility and ethics. And after several glasses of wine Sam had not expected to enjoy himself, to be charmed.
God what was his name.
That’s right. Gadreel. Gadreel bought a few shots for them, after they’d broken away from the group, and the conversation was stimulating but Sam couldn’t stop staring at him. He had a square, boxy face and a strong jaw. Taller than Sam was, maybe it was the hunch that he had been sinking into, but Gadreel was broad and proud in his stance and he commanded Sam’s attention.
It was a fling. Or it should have been a fling. After taking a cab to an apartment with Gadreel, dropping half his clothes in the hallway with his shoes, stumbling to the bedroom with this near stranger, the simple act of finding arousal with someone he didn’t know smacked Sam across the consciousness but he wanted, he was hard and aching and he wanted.
So he asked, and he was given.
@burningwicker asked:
Hippolytus: Tell an experience you will never forget.
Well I very much doubt I will ever forget the one time I was hit by a car. It was going slow enough to not break any bone, just crack a bit, and I was out of the hospital in a couple days, but still.
The Labyrinth: Have you ever died and came back to life as a vampire?
You know what? Yes, I have. I thirst for blood and I will kill anyone if I can have it. Just a warning.
Just kidding.
OR AM I?
send me mythology asks!
Look up to the sky, see it painted with colour As the day turns to night And the moon shines bright Look up to the sky, see it painted with colour As they lie quietly in the back Leather beneath them, they hit the sack Look up to the sky, see it painted with colour An angel watching over them As for sleeping, he won’t succumb Look up to the sky, see it painted with colour Another hunt done Another war won Look up to the sky, see it painted with colour They’re tired and haunted Their dreams distorted Look up to the sky, see it painted with colour Dawn arises high It’s quite a drive but they’ll get by Look up to the sky, see it painted with colour An angel and two brothers Saving people, hunting others

24: Favorite scene you’ve ever written.
This is a though one, because I’ve written many scenes I’m very proud of. But I think I’m gonna go for the one in ‘A candle in the storm’ where Benny loses it and just lets Dean know how angry and desperate he feels and how it plays into his actions. It’s an intense scene in which I set Benny at his rawest and we see how his emotional state and his past are as much of a reason for everything he’s done as any influence Eve might have on him.
If any of the couple followers from TWD are seeing this, I’ve only written one relevant thing, and in that one my favorite part is probably when Michonne calls Negan out on his interest for Rick and the conversation that follows.
37: canon or AU?
It’s strange since I tend to let my mind fly away into AU’s a whole lot and I think I’ve written more of those, but I enjoy canon better. Majorly because the characters dynamics that make me fall in love with them are intact there, and also because canon has many elements that make me emotional and invested in the story beforehand. I guess that I just have an easier time with AU’s because there’s less stuff to take into account that way, but canon is my passion, all the way.
45: share the synopsis of a story you work on that you haven’t published yet.
Where says ‘not published’ it means ‘just sketched a couple unfinished scenes and in dire need to work on it’, but here it goes: I’m working on a story in which Benny’s past involves a lot of experience with many kinds of witchcraft, Book of the Damned included, and he somehow comes back in S10 and it comes into play changing lots of events. Among other things, Rowena finds his manly alphaness alluring and wants him to joy her coven :P
(A big part of this might be -is- inspired by The Flipside of Dead. Which is kinda awkward because in other stories I accidentally made lots of similar stuff to things you had previously made in your fics, and yeah. A lil’ awkward in that.)
