Rambles about the Burnout universe (Wolverine / Logan Howlett)
i totally forgot these ...again.
Gotta be honest... I'm a fan of the character mostly in the "i would smash that so fucking quick" way. it's almost the only reason i know about the X-men. and yet, it started with Hugh Jackman. im not going to lie. the only reason I'm not using Hugh appeareace is because i saw the art style of David Marquez and immediately fell in LOVE with him. like...LOOK AT THAT:
I know who i am..and that's a pervert with a thing for soldiers and troubled male characters..hence...Logan Howlett is a snack i will go blind
BUT
I would never disrespect a fine good character making him only a nice chew toy. Since he encapsulates a LOT of good tropes to work with. I had to use him, and he was an excellent bridge between my baby and the X-men.
the burden of immortality. The ceaseless human violent cycle that he has to witness and be part of. The man/animal issue......*gremling noises* god..so good!!
Nonetheless, there are some...clichés that I don't enjoy...that stupid thing with Jean Gray? nuh uh. i HATE the whole "Girls marry the good guy, Logan" on the movies 🤮. it was disrespectful to the relationship of Jean and Scott (which I looked up a little bit in the comics)
Logan is a little bit of a flirt. Yes, of course, he has the rizz of 200 years on his back.
Is he a homewrecker? FUCK NO. i refuse to accept that this fine man takes love lightly.
Casual sex? duh...yeah. The guy can have a good time without attachments.
i do not like all these portrayals of him as an immature prick...THE GUY IS 200+ YEARS OLD, FOR FUCK'S SAKE.
He can have a really short fuse and be easy to enrage... when fighting! That's how war works! He is a fighter!
so, for my story. Logan has this...X-men Evolution energy? good mentor, kinda rough, extremely loyal, with a HUGE "gotta protect my pack" mind set, a little bit of a savior complex there ngl, and a loooooooot of repressed impulses (there is where the interaction with my OC becomes nice)
i do have favorite headcanons tho 🤔. And since it's my story, I will do whatever the fuck I want.
-He has SOME etiquette rules ingrained in his behavior from his childhood. So you will catch him standing up when a lady comes to the room more often than not and stuff like that. For him it is natural, even if he doesn't remember where he learned that. It is just the way a man should behave. Gentleman to the core.
-animalistic features. Pointy-ish ears. Longer and shaper canines. some animal behavior due the mutation ..etc.
-I dont care what canon says, that man cannot stand being dirty. he endures it in fights and missions because is on the job. in a chill context? That guy is clean and doesn't like to stink. Animals are clean! Clean means less chance to get sick! Clean means healthy! I'm not talking about "putting on a lot of stuff" (enhances smell yk) im talking good shower, (no baths, too much time) and a good scrubbing down everyday!
-Weak with children but will train them to exhaustion. "i will make you cry now with me, so you don't bleed when I'm not around" type.
-Afraid of heights and not a fan of swimming (I know that this is canon, lol, just wanted to say it)
