Sorry I’m freaking out from reading on the internet about my cat. He’s 14 yrs old n doesn’t want to be inside. He won’t even come in the garage unless it’s raining or if we bribe him with food. He’s doesn’t leave the front or back yard though. He’s been a lot more vocal and will eat and then run away from his plate twitching. I’m scared to stress him out by a vet trip cause the last time I took one of my cats he had a seizure in the waiting room. Sorry if you can’t answer this but I can’t sleep
Id ask my own vet but again I’m terrified of stressing him out when all he needs is comfort. I know he’s old but if you could just give me a gist of what’s going on with him I’ll be able to be much more calm taking him to the vet and keeping my cat calm as well. I just don’t want to be blindsided again

You need to call your vet.
I’m sorry, but theres isn’t much that we can do to help you over the internet. Without having an exam, it is impossible to tell what is wrong with your cat.
Your vet will be more knowledgeable about you animal’s individual case and thus will be in a better position to help you make plans for getting the cat into the clinic for an exam. I know that taking animals to the vet can be scary for both the human owner and the pet, but it’s the best option out there to help you.
Hopefully your vet will be able to give you some advice that you can follow through on. Think about how good it will feel to make progress towards that goal.
The one thing that I will advise is that you might try desensitizing your cat to its carrier so that it isn’t as stressful. This might help with the car ride and in the waiting room.
