30 Sumo DL high pulls (40/30kg)
Work got in the way of training with the usual 7am morning crew today, so I went in this arvo.
Burpees - Pretty good, just got them out of the way as fast as I could.
Double unders - Had to break these up into 5 sets of 20 'cos arms were fatigued from the burpees.
Push jerks - 30kgs. Hard. I did my first 5 reps, then Sam yelled out that none of them counted 'cos they were all push-pressed. I wanted to throw the bar at his head lol.
After starting again, ended up breaking the 30 up into 6 sets of 5.
Abmat situps - All good. Pace was probably a bit on the slow side, but I did them all unbroken.
Sumo DL high pulls - 30kgs. Not bad.. Broke these up into 3 sets of 10.
Push ups - Wow. I started off fine with about 15 unbroken reps, but then things got ugly as the unbroken reps decreased to 5, then 3, 2 then to singles. From about the 40-45 rep mark, all reps were done in singles.
Single reps can get pretty disheartening, but they were all done chest to ground. I'm so thankful I changed the way I did push ups ages ago (elbows close to the body as opposed to having them at 90 degrees) 'cos I'm starting to reap the benefits now.
