PLANT HELP PLEASE! Does anyone know what causes these strange dry sections? I’ve had to cute off two stems and noticed it happening on the last two as well :( Any advice is also appreciated!!!

So this succulent arrangement generally sits, unmoved, from one spot. But since some water spilled on my wooden desk, I picked it up and moved it to the kitchen.

This is the first time in quite a few months I am seeing it from this side and just wow. It took my breath away.

The stick is there to help with the balance of the mother of hundreds but now perhaps the sun will work wonders since I can finally rotate the arrangement.
