Today’s the Day!
Lafayette woke up to a something poking his side, the frenchman was confused but grew confused in a matter of seconds. He cussed under his breath and rolled away. Normally he would tell the person to knock it off but he was too tired to do anything, all Lafayette wanted was to sleep. But then the poking got worse. This time, two hands grabbed his shoulders and began shaking. Lafayette grew irradiated as the heavenly bliss of sleep quickly started to escape him, he took his pillow from underneath his head and swatted the person waking him. The person was knocked back and Lafayette smiled a little. It was oddly satisfying. He curled around the blankets and sighed in content as the heavy feeling of sleep returned to him. Unfortunately it was short lived when he was pushed right off the bed.
“Ah!” Lafayette gasped, startled and winced a small “ow” under his breath.
Now he was annoyed. He sat up and stared at Aaron, who was smiling with amused eyes. Lafayette normally loved that look but it wasn’t amazing to look at when he was dead tired. He glanced at their clock and growled slightly. It was freaking midnight.
“Mon amour,” Lafayette paused to yawn, “I will murder you if you don’t have a good reason for waking me up at this hour.”
“Think Gil,” Aaron all but giggled.
Lafayette raised an eyebrow, wondering what has gotten into Aaron. “I don’t know. It’s too early to think.”
Aaron laid down on his stomach and scouched to the edge of bed until his arms dangled off. His two hands cupped Lafayette’s face and brought it closer for a kiss. Despite tired and annoyed, Lafayette closed his eyes and smiled, kissing back without a thought. It was a soft kiss. That’s what Lafayette loved so much about Aaron, he was soft and adorable and his. Only his. Only he knew about the tattoo on his lower back. Only he knew that if Aaron was pissed then it was easily solved with a hug. Only he knew that Aaron still sometimes cried himself to sleep. Only he knew that Aaron drank his coffee with french vanilla cream. Those were his and his alone. Just like he was Aaron’s. When they parted, Aaron give a small peck on his nose before pulling back. Lafayette’s smile doubled. So much love and adoration in those two brown eyes.
“It’s our wedding day,” Aaron whispered, barely containing his excitement.
Oh my god… How could Lafayette forget?! It what they’ve both been raving about for months! Without a second thought, Lafayette stood up and picked Aaron up. He spun them around the room, laughing their asses off in pure joy and love. Aaron clenched onto him like a monkey begging to be let down before he was thrown across the room. Lafayette laughed and almost complied with his soon to be husband. He hugged Aaron tightly and fell back in their bed. They laughed breathlessly and until exhaustion overcame them and they passed out. It’s a big day and they needed their rest.
