I like to think that Burson Fouch and Walter Paisley (from "A Bucket of Blood" 1959, a comedy horror film about dead people (and at first, accidentally, a cat) inside clay which everyone believed to be master art at first and beatnik culture, a social/art satire) are the same character.
First off, they're both acted by the same actor - Dick Miller. And if I remember correctly, the sets were partially used in both films - Roger Corman is (yes, NOT was) a cool freak (/pos) who literally began the story of our beloved and crazy LSOH madness in the matter of TWO DAYS of filming (but I'm sure you knew that).
Walter Paisley was pretty damn different from Burson - shy, awkward wreck (kinda like Seymour), who really wanted beatnik friends, to be loved by sketch artist Carla and to be not ignored at the beginning, gaining more confidence as he goes through his downfall. And Burson is a quite outgoing smooth-talker. So I think Burson might have been the same way as Walter was in the beginning, would have had no friends, be super poor at socializing. That would've been when he was a child. BUT instead of, ahem, artistic murder, Burson would have changed through his world travels and through meeting many people out of many cultures. Basically, grew up, whereas Walter did not (Or maybe was simply a little autism-coded.)
The last thing - Burson has been said to have a wife when he checked on his invisible watch and went home for "gardenias for dinner". And Walter had a huge crush on Carla. So I headcanon that in the 1960 TLSOH universe, Burson's wife would also be acted by the same actress as Carla was - the love of my life ahdjsjshha Barboura Morris. Much like Jonathan Haze or Miller, she was a regular in Corman's films, so it would be logical. And I also did an invertion thingy with the alphabet (yes I was very invested in this thing it was like a year ago maybe ??and I just remembered it now) - C/W (Carla/Walter), so the name of Burson's wife in the TLSOH universe would start with an X (if I remember correctly), because B/X , in an opposite side of the alphabet. So I think her name would be Xandra (there was a Roger Corman film character who had an X in their name - Dr. Xavier from "The Man with X-ray Eyes).
