(sonicsloyaldogmuttski) ppl need to leave Dr. Yu alone god forbid a funny mad scientist be morally dubious with it. it’s literally good for him let him live. also on a serious note it is feeling a little weird for people to come in viscerally hating your OC and even asking you for like. art or writing about him getting beat up and shit? like it’s one thing to cast one thousand stab wounds on the guy when you’re playing around and appreciate him, it’s another to come in going ‘god FUCK THIS GUY I want him DEAD I want him DEFEATED AND DESTROYED’ but maybe I’m just reading too much into it? idk in a comic following two main characters who have ‘turn violent and feral and scared at a moment’s notice bug’ and a building kill count for liked characters, I’d think ppl could handle ‘kinda evil mad scientist’ as an enjoyable character to engage with in more than just one way. I already sent an ask abt Dr. Yu before but I wasn’t expecting the overall negative perception he got :( justice for dudes doing science unbarred by morality as a nine to five and then clocking out to go ignore everyone for some peace and quiet and World of Wormcraft
Hey it's super chill, this guy was made to be hated. I was already prepared for folks to have this kinda reaction anyway and fully expected it. In my server, those Ascended members reading the script months back were curious about him at first and then very quickly the reaction to him was like, "oh FUCK this guy." I knew the response would be similar when y'all got to the actual published comic pages.
He's like, mean and smug and is clearly saying stuff to get under Shadow's skin, and we all like Shadow, so it makes sense that folks would get all snarly at him for it. I don't blame them at all and I even nod along to it! :]

(this is sonics-loyal-dog-muttski lol) I seriously love your music selections for this chapter, Through the Fire is such a blast from the past to me. I used to turn on my Wii and go to the extras menu and just play through all the songs in SATBK like it was an iPod LOL. I went and put it back on for the first time in years so that I could read this page and hear the song, it’s so perfect for that ominous and intense energy.

She knew he was going to hug her before he did. The sound of his steps over wood floor and tile softened by the slippers on his feet unmistakable to her. His strong arms surrounding her and low voice warm against her ear having her instantly relax into his welcome embrace. Her hands reaching up to run her fingers over the smooth skin of his forearms marred only by random scars from any number of the trials he had been through.
But right now, he wasn't the destined hero from another time- he was hers. Only hers.
Turning in his arms, her answer was to pull him gently down for a breathless kiss. One hand on the side of his neck, her knuckles brushing against the fine line of his jaw. Feeling the subtle movements as he kissed her back. Their noses finding odd angles as she enjoyed the prickle of his beard against the skin of her face.
Her other hand easily slipping under his waistband to take his length slowly in her hand with an appreciative sigh. It wasn't long before she broke their kiss to move to kneel before him- easily making quick work of the modern clothes he seemed to prefer wearing more and more lately. She had just started taking him into the warmth of her mouth when she woke up with a startle.
Her hands reaching out blindly to the empty spot besides her in bed. Tears quickly welling in frustration and longing as she a pulled a pillow over her face and screamed.
Three times. She had said goodbye to him three times. And it never got any easier. The missing, the dreaming, the remembering.
