And now I need a shower and to pass out for like a week.
Hey magsdoodle! It's me again :3
I noticed that you said doing lettering by hand is rather tedious for you so I wanted to make a suggestion.
There's a couple sites (such as YourFonts.com and Calligraphr) that allow you to create your own fonts using your own handwriting. (Haven't used them myself but just wanted to let you know that they're out there!)
Hope you have a good day <3
oh thank you so much!! I've heard of people using calligraphr for custom fonts and have always thought it looked super cool! I unfortunately just don't think my handwriting would have very good readability within a comic format :,'-) at least not without me significantly tweaking it (but then it would no longer look like my handwriting!)
actually, my biggest pain when it comes to lettering is hand drawing and arranging all the word balloons. okay—the bubble drawing isn't so bad, it's mostly just tedious (but I like the look of them being hand drawn, so... we suffer.) the real toughie is making everything fit a clear and chronological layout without obstructing anything important. I have so much respect for letterers. they are spiritually PhD-holding mathematicians
Omd house drama is tiring
In about 12 hours my chorister career will be over. My heart is broken, I'm shot to pieces.
I swear some of you forget, or choose to, that Allison spent 4 years in the 60s in fucking Texas. A woman of color, without her voice (at least for the first couple of months), in the 60s living in Texas! And all that after losing her child. That's the trauma Allison had to cope with in season 3... your white faves could never, honestly.
And before you all start with "Allison sa Luther!", "she killed Harlan!"... I'm not defending any of that. I know what she did and I understand why she did it. She's not a good person, none of the Hargreeves are good people, that's the point. They are all equally flawed and terrible people, largely because of their upbringing, and if you claim that one is better than the rest then you've been watching another show.
It isn't that I hate my life, it's just exhausting living it. Why were we cursed with the ability to become self aware? What benefits could my loud thoughts possibly bring? Everyday, I fight the same battle. I win one, but gradually grow tired for the next. There will come a day, where I am too tired to care. And for that, I am sorry I have failed.
