Going through and looking at old posts to fill the LoliloDaily blog queue and have been reminded that there were once
- Peter stans who absolutely hated Balthazar
- Balthazar stans who absolutely hated Peter
- People who thought that that one punishment where they threw socks at Peter, and everyone including Peter was cracking up laughing the whole time, was abuse
- People who picked one flatmate to love and decided that the other three were demons with no redeeming qualities and The Fave should move out and go no-contact immediately
- People who hated Rosa because they were convinced she was going to steal Ben from Bea (which would be impossible, Ben can’t be stolen, he’s too in love with Bea, but even if he could be stolen, assuming Rosa would do that and hating her for the possibility is stupid)
This fandom was drama central, damn 🫣
Would reader ever hate them at some point?
I don't think so? Even if they were awful and treated her no better than a warm place to stick it and breeding stock, she might resent them but she was trained to be too good of an omega to hate them.
See, reader was expecting that to be her life. Institutes very much play into the classist belief of omegas are meant to serve and they should do it gladly. Everything institutes teach (at least the majority at this point in the timeline of this universe) is just how to serve an alpha, how to be obedient for your alpha, how to view yourself as a second class citizen that has two roles in life: serving and birthing pups. So even in the worst situation, reader is going to have this belief that that's just the way things are because that's what she was taught. That's how she was trained. Subservience and obedience to those over her.
So I don't think, even with the reader starting to have those beliefs challenged and those mindsets beginning to shift a bit, she could ever hate them. No matter what they did to her, how they treated her, she can very easily sort of gaslight herself into thinking, "That's just the way things are."
Of course, they're not going to do that and any mistakes they make, she might not even notice. Even after the event with Ghost, she doesn't hate him. She didn't hate him when he did it.
So as bad as it sounds, the reader isn't capable of hating them. Even in the future as those beliefs and trainings continue to unravel and get challenged, reader still couldn't hate them.
people that honest to god Hate kids are just straight up red flags in my book
y’all really be out here hating on an autistic character in a tv show and writing out paragraphs and paragraphs on why you hate him lmao okay
hate it when people are like "oh (stinging/biting bugs) are evil and deserve to die because i got (stung/bitten) by one once" if i could get my foot stuck in a fire ant mound at age 7 and still love them you can accept that wasps fill a necessary environmental niche even though you got stung by one at the pool.
red
i didn’t think i’ve done anything on here that could cause someone to hate me with a burning passion, if i did something shitty i’m sorry, but i legit can’t think of anything anyone would hate me that much for
