another month, another full month of reading stats
rambling and graphs below the cut :)
we'll start with fic again because i think i'm WAY down this month even though the # is higher than april. granted i am about to binge read sincerity is scary again because....great fic but i only read the updates this month </3 do not let the word count fool you. also not a lot of variation this month LMAO its all itfs, which....fork found in kitchen.
for trad pub, i am down on the # of books this month, but i have more pages read (not by much), because i was more consistent with how many pages i was reading a day. honestly a few of the books i read this month were a SLOG to get through (i'm looking at you mothers and other strangers. i wanted to like it more than i did), but i also really enjoyed the ones i did read. the best little motel in texas is one of the funniest books ive ever read while also being a GREAT mystery novel, love it and can't wait for the sequel. the first game changers book was good, scott/kip in the book is way better than their show counterparts it's actually kinda sad. i'll probably read the first hollanov book this month (happy pride!). dont ask what my star ratings mean. i barely understand why i rate books what i do. even with books i dont like i hesitate to give them less than 3 stars because i spent time reading it and dont want it to be a waste. im indecisive.
i also started a personal project this month of a kind of reading journal? basically just a collection of my thoughts after reading + quotes or whatever i pulled from the text. like junk journal meets book report i guess (which was inspired by fellow travelers, loved that book). i wouldnt look too closely at those unless you want spoilers for circe by madeline miller.
