Starring: Geoffrey Rush, Martin Freeman, Billie Piper and Kate Winslet (asked by sofuckingchuffed)
I have a ringing in my head And no one to help me answer it Even with you close enough to kiss
--Jimmy Eat World ♫
Synopsis: Darrell Mills (Geoffrey Rush) had lived his whole life absorbed in his work and now senses that his life is drawing to a close. Reflecting back he realises that he has left his personal life until too late and has no one to share his successes with. Picking up an abandoned project, he steps into his subconscious memories to literally relive the past. Travelling further than his memories and the bounds of reality, he witnesses the slow deterioration of his older brother, Chris's (Martin Freeman) relationship with his wife, Gloria (Kate Winslet). In a world where his realised presence is impossible, Darrell wonders whether he can change a set course of events. An enigmatic young woman, Eva (Billie Piper), appears to be an exception to this. She knows something, but seems only capable of speaking in riddles and cryptic puzzles.
