This Anya issue is 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰, Jordie and Jeremy have done it, they've given Anya a role and a voice that takes into consideration that she's centuries old, she's seen a Lot of Shit, she started in her path by enacting very personal vengeance, she doesn't fit with societal norms - and updated and embedded her into the whole Lore of Slayers and the Watcher's Council, and makes her shopkeep identity persona a rational fit considering her past.

If all the issues after this continue this high in characterization and plotting (serious! This issue ties everything that's happened together and also properly introduces their original character - the one that was hyped up in so many annoyingly written press releases. And she's great.), Boom!verse Buffy 2021 is off to an excellent start. Also...please keep this artist around?
