Finally the day had arrived, the day Ludwig and Gilbert would set out towards the western district of Berlin, Charlottenburg, for a hopefully peaceful holiday. With all the talk of it building up, Ludwig himself was actually somewhat excited. He wasn't like the other nations, he didn't openly show an interest in Christmas normally, but, Weihnachtsmarkt were particularly special to him. It was a very nice place for a date, too, coincidentally--
Seeming they were already nearby, there wasn't any need to wake up at 4am or what have you, piss Gilbert off, and leave with the taste of breakfast still fresh in their mouths-- it was a peaceful start to the day, though Ludwig made it his duty to pack for the both of them. What was most important was the money, clothing and items that had just recently arrived in the mail that weren't too important now, but would be later.
Ludwig made sure they had a nice breakfast, choosing to head out to Berlin at around lunch time, the middle of the day. The bags were packed neatly in the car, and he'd made arrangements for the dogs (and chickens) to be fed while they were absent, the hotel had also been booked, he was now just ensuring everything was contained in his wallet.
"So-- are you looking forward to this?" He asked quietly, an attempt at conversation, gathering the last of his things. "I figured we could go for some Currywurst when we get there. hm?"
